A WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING!

Well I don't know about the rest of you, but here in So. California the weather just can't quite decide what to do.  Last Friday it hit almost 90 degrees here in Brea, and today we are all the way back down to 60.  It was raining as well when I woke up this morning.  Personally, I am not quite ready for 90! haha  Plenty of that coming up I am sure.  So I am not going to complain about how cool it is today.

Our week-end was really nice.  The girls lost AGAIN on Friday and personally I am about ready to throw in the towel, haha.  We did enjoy ourselves though, and I am so glad that we are still able to enjoy these nights with them.  On Sat. we spent the morning running errands, and I decided I felt like a grandkid fix so we drove over and picked up little Jeffie and took him both to lunch with us, and to see the new Chimpanzee movie.  What a good time we had.

WHO COULD RESIST THIS FACE??

HE IS SOO SWEET!

Sunday was spent enjoying church and lunch with James and Larissa and their sweet little pack of kids.  I know I beat it to death haha, but how I enjoy time with my grands.  After lunch we drove home and did our grocery shopping and spent the rest of the evening BBQing and watching TV.  A perfect Sunday.  I have talked my youngest grand daughter into "maybe" replacing her blankie with a new one that Grandma is going to make her, so today I went and picked up the fabric for that.  I will whip it together tomorrow and show you pics of the finished product soon.  They have such cute fabric.  And the snuggle prints are on sale at Joanne's if anyone is interested.  Don't know if when push comes to shove she will let her beloved blankie get replaced, but the new one will have the silkie back that she loves, so guess we will see.

Welp, that's about it.  Not much else happening over here.  I just have to show you the most recent pic of Sam too as it is soo funny.  He is ALL OVER THE PLACE with his crawling suddenly, and has pulled himself up a couple of times too.  Quite the active little guy.

CAUGHT!!  HAHA....THE LOOK ON HIS FACE SEEMS TO SAY HE KNOWS THIS IS NAUGHTY!
THIS IS THE DOG'S FOOD AND WATER IF YOU CAN'T TELL....

Hope everyone is having a good day!

  2. HaHa! Busted! That's what his little face says to me. As for that other little face? I would definitely call it irresistible. I'm sure I've said this before, but your grandchildren are all so very cute!

Hope the great blankie switch goes well.

  5. I wonder why they always have to go to the dogs food and water?
I am glad you had a normal weekend.
You got rain? We are still having heat but the wind is blowing now so I am hoping of a change.
I am not ready for heat yet.
I hope you have a lovely week.

  6. No such thing as too much time with the grands, right? And no such thing as too much talking about grands, either. ;-) Especially when they're as adorable as your grands are (but not quite as adorable as mine - ha!ha!). Have a terrific Tuesday!

  7. Hi Debbie, Jeffie is really growing up, and what a sweet face indeed. Do you know what is so amazing about having grandchildren, it is a two way street, they get to enjoy being loved by us and we get that love returned so many more times.~smile~ my prescription to you, enjoy! enjoy! enjoy! and keep banking those memories. Here is an example, I was awaken before day this morning, and as I lay there meditating , and listening to the rooster crow, my mind was brought back to visiting and hearing that same sound when at my grandmothers, and knowing that she was in her kitchen preparing a homemade breakfast for me, and my siblings. I just pulled the covers up tight and smiled all the while remembering what a sweet and loving grandmother I had, so whether you re making breakfast or taking them to a movie or playing a game with them, trust me these memories will go with them all throughout their life. The oice of experience speaking here.

Now as far as you girls winning, you have got to get in there girl, I wouldn't want you to result to such tactics as our older grandson used to do, and that was Cheat!! LOl. Enjoy this day, and Sam is getting cuter by the day, and don't think he could as he is some cutie pie.
    Hugs,
    Sue

  9. What is it about the dog's food and water that is so enticing to little hands? My grand-niece is 16 months old and loves to play in the water and pick the food out of the bowl. And she thinks it's so funny. :)

I bet little Sam would soon be done with that dog food if he sampled it!
    Jeffie is a cutie-what a big smile.
You seem to have so much fun with your g'children-that's great.
I look forward to seeing your new
    blanket project.
