WEEKLY HAPPENINGS

Well my week has been a fast one, not nearly as busy as the one before, but I have gotten some things done.  My shopping is coming right along, and I only have a few more to buy for.  I did help mom get all of her cards in the mail (for the first time in 3 years!), which ended up being a MUCH bigger project that I thought, but it is done and she is pleased, so I am too.

I also went to the oncologist with my sister and my niece on Tues.  We found out really good news in my opinion.  Her cancer, while a rare type, was given a stage 1, and is also not considered to be very aggressive.  We had already found out that it had NOT spread anywhere else in her body, which was really the best news of all.  IF the tumor had not been soo large and had  not leaked upon removal, she would not even have to do chemotherapy.  But because it was the case, and this is the best time to be REALLY aggressive with treatment, she will begin chemo soon.  She will get 6 rounds of it.  We are all of course very apprehensive about it all, but are moving ahead one day at a time, trusting God to care for her.  She will begin the first week of January which is good so that she can relax and enjoy Christmas with her kids.  Michelle is healing really well from her surgery now, and is trying to staying positive.  All of your continued prayers for this situation will be REALLY appreciated.

I made Jeffie's jammies today, and have only a couple of books left to make for Sam, and I am done with sewing projects for this year.  Sunday afternoon we will celebrate Capri's 8th birthday, and Jeffie will come and spend the night at Grandma's on Sat. so that he can come down for her party as well.  Can't believe she will already be 8 years old.
JEFFIE'S JAMMIES....HE THOUGHT HE WAS GETTING THESE LAST SAT. AT HIS DADDIES B/DAY PARTY.  HE WAS SO SWEET ABOUT THEM.  HE WILL BE EXCITED I KNOW.

CLOSER LOOK AT THE REINDEER...I HOPE TO GET A PIC OF HIM IN THESE TOMORROW NIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR TREE...

Guess that is it for now.  Hope you all have a wonderful week-end, and are enjoying this Christmas season.  I will be making a special announcement tomorrow!  Any guesses??  ; )

  1. First of all Debbie, I am so glad that Michelle got as good a report as possible from her Dr. It sounds like they can be very optimistic! She has been in my prayers so much!!!! And she will continue to be. Please let her know that.
Love the jammies!!! And love seeing pics of little Sam. My guess is that Sam will be having a baby brother or sister soon?

  2. Guesses? Somebody is going to be a big brother in the New Year?

Praying for Michelle and family. I hate when the cure is so rough, though the Lord will surely bring her through with flying colors. He's done an amazing job thus far!

Oh I wish that I could make cute jammies like that. My grands might be more impressed that they are with my afghan making skills. ☺

Yay for Christmas cards being done! Always a good feeling.

  5. Fantastic news about your niece ... will continue to pray that she tolerates the chemo well and that she'll beat this dreadful disease.

Those jammies are the cutest. I've gotten so out of the habit of sewing clothes ... I made my oldest grandson some pajama pants a couple of years ago, and it was a bigger project than it should have been. ha!
