WEEK WITH MELODY AND FAMILY..

Well I just got back from dropping Mike and Mel and the babies off at the airport....I am soo sad to see them go, but soo happy we had such a nice visit.  That week flew by!  There were so many fun times packed into that week that honestly I am not going to even try to tell them all.  We got the MAJORITY of us together last Sat for the entire day, and so that was wonderful.  We were missing a couple of the oldest grandkids on that day, so I STILL didn't get a pic of all 11 of them together, so guess we will just keep trying on that one.

GRANDMA WITH HER ARMS FULL WITH SAM AND LUKE....THEY WERE SOO GOOD ON THEIR TRIP.  SLEPT WELL AND DID GREAT BEING OFF OF THEIR REGULAR SCHEDULES ETC.

This visit may be over, but many memories were made and will be cherished.  God willing we will all be together again hopefully at Christmas time.

The other thing that happened last week that was really pretty fun, was on Friday I took my first lesson on my new sewing machine.  Mike and Mel spent that whole day with some of Mike's family, so it worked out well for me to go.  The class was from 10 to 3 and we covered a lot of the basics of the machine.  Obviously it was a pretty complicated computer as well so there is a lot to master.  Oh my was it fun, but honestly pretty involved as well.  But what it can do is going to be just amazing and I am soo looking forward to get going on it.  I still have two more day long lessons on it to come, so there is still lots to learn.

I am going to take a few days here to relax and recover from this visit, and then we are going to have a few of the grands come and stay for a few days as well to finish off our summer.  Hope you are all enjoying your summers as well.  I have tried to visit and keep up as best I could, but honestly, I haven't done very well.  I am anxious to do some visiting this afternoon....right after a little nap...haha   ; )  Blessings to you all! Debbie

  2. Hi my friend, I loved hearing the recap of the family gatherings. Mel's boys look so much alike and I think I see a resemblance to you.
The 6 granddaughters last night wore me out-I'm thinking two by two in the future. Had a headache when I went to bed and also when I woke up earlier than I normally do. Thursday night we have our two grandsons over-it will be easy. Love that you are taking a class on your machine-I never did that. I finally finished the top of my last quilt, now just have to square it up and then the pinning begins. Hope you get some rest before more grands come over.
    Hugs, Noreen

I really loved reading about your new machine and your classes.
I bet you are tired. I am still tired from having my grandsons for the weekend. It just takes longer to bounce back.
Have a lovely rest of the week.

  12. You have such a beautiful family, Debbie. I would love to see the whole set of 11 in a shot together. I loved Melody's haircut. Usually a cut makes you look a little older, but I think hers makes her look youthful!

(Glad you're practicing and learning on your schmancy new machine, too. )
