Well it's Thursday morning and I will be picking up Melody and her little family at the airport at 2:30 and I am very excited! But what a week I have had! So much to get done and not really enough time to do it, haha. I actually made a list ~ I usually just try and keep a mental one ~ and enjoyed checking things off of it as I completed them. All that is left is to have ALL of my laundry done, which I am working on as I type this, and putting the buttons on Sam's new jammies. I have been kind of dragging my feet on that as I have not put in any buttonholes with my new machine, and I honestly can't remember for sure how it is done. I did do it in class, and I remember thinking, "my this is easy!" but that's about all I remember...sigh. I am hoping that as I sit down this morning to do it, it will all come rushing back. It would seem logical to just use the instruction book, but honestly I don't know if I have ever read a book that was soo poorly written. At least it is in my humble opinion. I have figured out very little this way with this machine. HOWEVER, it is really pretty much the last thing to figure out on it. It has become very easy to navigate around on it, and I was thinking last night how grateful I am that my mom made it possible. I am still REALLY missing her...in countless little ways. It seems like soo many things come up each day that make me think of her. It is beginning to seem like such a LONG time such I talked to her.
We had a glorious rain storm yesterday and I LOVED every minute of it, even the few minutes I was caught scrambling to my car in it after getting my nails done. It is finally cool in California. Though! I am still wearing my capri pants and haven't drug out my winter jeans yet as I just know there is probably still a few weeks of warm.
I did get the apron with the embroidery design of the pregnant girl on it done for Jessie so I can show you that this morning, and I have MANY MANY things planned to do before now and Christmas. I may have to make another list as I know there is no way I will get to them all.
Hope you all have a wonderful week-end. I am not sure I will have any time for visiting in the next few days as I plan on spending my days holding and loving on those sweet babies. Blessings to you all! Debbie
