I so enjoyed seeing the precious photos of your mom and reading about her and your time together as you celebrated her life. She looked so young still in her 80's....and such a pleasant face. One you will remember always. My own mom passes away in 2005, her memories are still dear.
May God be near you in these days of loss. I think you and I were brought up around the same time frame. I love the photo of your mom bathing your sister looking so nice. That was my mom too. I am sad as you go through this time Debbie. But the hope that we can cling to is that this isn't a permanent good bye. That's what helped me get through that time. I'm sending you hugs through cyberspace. Please know that I am thinking of you and praying for you. How sweet to see all these precious pictures...you're right...she was magazine worthy! Love the first photo with your sister in the itty-bitty bathtub. Your mother was so very proud of her children. That's obvious. And I also enjoyed reading about your preparations as it took me back to our own with my mother. Such a lot of work to be done by so many.

(My mother had a number of warnings that her end of life might be imminent and, after the first, she planned her own memorial service even telling us what day it should be held on, the hymns she wished to have sung, the scriptures she wanted shared, the photos, etc. At one point, I kiddingly asked her if she was planning to bake cookies and freeze them for the gathering after her own service. How she laughed, but she would have done it. I know it.)

Your mom will be so proud of all of you all over again. Much love to you as you gather to celebrate her remarkable life on this earth knowing that she is whole and well and very happy indeed with The Lord.Veehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00618654361869856894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7906989179238604361.post-65452205316946916842013-06-06T08:25:35.855-07:002013-06-06T08:25:35.855-07:00Oh Debbie......what a mixed bag of feelings you ar...Oh Debbie......what a mixed bag of feelings you are all going through. The photos are just stunning. The one with the apron on, giving Diane a bath...so gorgeous! And the one of her on the grass with you kids...her toes pointed...she looks like a model!
