Well, let me start by saying a big thank you for all your prayers, e-mails, and encouragement for little Donatella. She was able to go home this afternoon, and her face here just says soo much. She was soo happy to get out. Makes my heart break so for all those precious little ones who are chronically sick and spend so much of their time in the hospital. What a wonderful hospital this was, and we are all soo thankful to the nurses and doctors that work there.
THANK YOU JESUS! |
We had a nice week-end other than that, and I enjoyed it all. Nothing really out of the ordinary. We did go down to San Diego to church on Sun but decided against going to see Tella (which was soo hard!) afterwards as she could still be contagious, and I was afraid I might pick something up and then give it to my mom. But the message was GREAT, and we were able to go out to lunch afterwards with James and visit for a little while. After lunch (and getting my camera back ~ YAY!) we stopped by Joe's studio on the way home. They are in the process of painting, and getting things all organized for their big grand opening. Joe managed to sign up 10 new student this last week, and how grateful to God we are for this. He needs a few more weeks like this one, haha! I have a couple of pics that were sent via the phone from Joe (my camera was still dead of course) so you can kind of see what the artist they hired was doing. It is hard to see from small views, and trust me the camera did not even come close to doing it justice. It looked soo good.
THIS LOOKED REALLY COOL ON THE WALL, AND CIRCLED ALL THE WAY AROUND... |
LOVE THIS! |
We had glorious weather this week-end, but a new storm is blowing in and bringing with it much cooler temperatures. I am actually kind of looking forward to it. Spring and summer are right around the corner I know, but I am not quite done with cozy fires, warm soup and hot tea. Hope you all have a good week!
Debbie
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Donatella made it home-yeh!
The artwork is awesome! I hope we get to see the rest when it's finished too.
OH, these kids bounce back so quickly!
ReplyDeleteLove the studio, looks very sharp!
And, yes, I'm with you, growing old is not for sissies. While it was so hard to loose my Mom suddenly at 78 years old, at least she never had to suffer or be cared for.
Happy week!
Oh she looks great! I know that she'll get her best rest right there at home. Keep us updated.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you were able to go out to lunch with a friend. It must have been so good for both of you to get caught up.
Wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteI'm not quite ready for spring either but it comes early in my corner of the world.
Yay! What wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteStudio looks fantastic.
We've got a storm moving in, bringing ice/freezing rain/sleet as well as snow. I'm excited about the snow ... the ice not so much.
Yeah!! The girl is back home! Donatella is such a little doll and I love seeing that smile on her sweet face again!! Praise the Lord!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad she got to go home. I thought about her the whole time. You post such nice photos.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy looking at all of the happy things in your life.
So glad your grand daughter is better and back home. It is so hard seeing them sick isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult watching our parents age, I have noticed through the years my parents world getting smaller and smaller, and then of course health issues became more of a problem and now the struggle to remain independent. I like you don't see very much that I like about the whole process.but also like you I will trust that whatever may be in my future the Lord will faithfully see me through.
Have a great week
I'm so glad to read that your granddaughter is now home from the hospital. Praise God!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the aging parents. My mom died in 2005 but my dad is still alive and living on his own at the age of 84. Thankfully his mind is good. I did a research study when I worked as a nurse asking patients what they were most afraid of. I thought they might be afraid of dying. But the majority said they were afraid of being dependent on others and unable to do the things they enjoy doing. I have to say that I agree with that.
Sending hugs to you,
Debbie
Oh Debbie, I am so sorry to have been AWOL on the very week that I could have joined as a prayer warrior!! I just went back and read the whole thing. RSV is horrible. A young family friend had this exact scenario last year, and it was really scary for us. I'm so glad to read that your tatooed girl is home and on the mend.
