Like millions of women around me I would sure love to be able to squeeze more time into every day. Or maybe I need to make what time I have more productive, or maybe just be grateful for what time I do have, I don't know. These are some of the questions my mind is asking itself this morning when there is soo much I want to accomplish this day. But lets get back to the week-end wrap up. Hubs and I got busy early and were out running errands by 10. We had the majority of that done around 2 and should have probably headed home and spent the rest of the day cleaning up the front porch to include washing down the furniture out there and potting a couple of plants, and then washing the cars. But here is where our dilemma lies. If we are ALWAYS doing what we should do, we NEVER seem to do what we WANT to do, haha, or even what we maybe NEED to do. Do you know what I mean? After the work week sometimes you just NEED to do nothing, or at least what you WANT to do, but then what you HAVE to do just doesn't get done. Have I confused anyone as much as I have myself? haha. Anyway, we did not go home and do the rest of our chores. We decided to go see the new movie 42. It was REALLY good, especially if you love a sport movie like I do. But when you add on "true story" now I am really happy. But it was kind of a long movie, so by the time we swung by Joe's house to see how they are settling into their new house for a little bit and then headed home, it was really too late to do much of anything else. We decided to push those chores off until Sun afternoon. But! we ended up staying in San Diego longer than we planned visiting with them after church, and by the time we drove home there was only time for grocery shopping and we were both whipped. Sooo looks like those chores will have to wait until next Sat. But that's what's been happening with them for a while now, lol. Now today I MUST do the laundry and straighten up some, I WANT to spend some time catching up with Melody and my sister, and I NEED to get busy finishing up the stuff I am sending Melody for the new baby. If she goes as long as she did with Sam (which the doc "thinks" she will ~ though the baby is already much bigger than Sam was at this stage of the pregnancy, so who knows!) she only has 5 weeks to go. Maybe he will surprise us all and stay in there the whole 40 weeks, but even the doctor isn't expecting that, lol. Sooo guess I better end this and get cracking as I used to tell my kids all the time. Hope you all have a good, productive, joy filled week! Blessings to you all! Debbie
Just have to share some cute pictures with you though...

Oh... sweet boy! Precious pics! I just had to try the toe thing ~ I was short by a few inches.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you squeezed in some want-to's -- those have-to's will wait! Cute, cute pictures of Sam. And I love the sweet baby blankets you made and showed in the previous post! I just have to make some time to get back to sewing; it is so rewarding to have a finished product that you made!
ReplyDeleteHi sweetie, My weekend was jam packed to and today was just the same plus we are retired. There are so many details to attend to with the estate-I'll be glad when it is over. We have to head out there next week again for four days.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to say I accomplish so much around here but honestly, when its cold and dreary, I love to just cocoon and read. Oh well.
Hope you have a wonderful evening!
Love, Noreen

Hugs to you!
Praying all goes well!

Well, in spite of not getting it all done, it sounds like a really fun weekend. And, as my Mom use to always tell me, "it will be there when you get to it." Duh! that's what I'm afraid of. :o)
ReplyDeleteCute, cute pictures!
precious pictures...I had my first visit to our house from our grandson, while both pregnant girls were watching feeling sick LOL
ReplyDeleteSam is such a doll! I love when you share pictures of him and all the rest of your gorgeous gang.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know if you find out how to squeeze more hours into a day!! I could use a few more!
Have a good week, dear one.
I wish I could do what Sam is doing in the photo too! Love those photos. And I hope to go to see "42" movie also.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Debbie
I think sometimes doing nothing is doing something. We really resist that in our culture, and I don't believe we should be lazy, but I know here we go go go all the time, and a weekend of lying on the couch for a few hours, taking a nap, or sitting out back is sometimes just what we need to feel rested and better about life.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice weekend...I think we'll probably see the movie. I did hear it was a little long.
I know that those chores will have to be done sooner or later, but you know, life is too short to not take some time to just relax and do what you want. With all that you have on your plate, you definitely need to take some time for those things. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove those pictures!
What great photos!!! I love that one with Sam and the calf. I would have that as a background too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a nice weekend.
Oh Sam is adorable and I LOVE the photo of him chewing on his toes! I vaguely remember when I could do that.. LOL.. As for time, I so hear you on that.. I've learned that every now and again you have to say pffftttt.. to what "NEEDS" to be done and do what you want to do.. It's good for the soul :)
ReplyDeleteYou have nailed that description! The balance we all need between work and play. I used to give myself the morning for chores and the afternoon and evening for more pleasant pursuits. Now I don't know how it gets balanced.
