Well so far NOTHING about this morning has gone as planned, haha. Nothing bad exactly, just I can't ever seem to catch up. Now it seems as if you would think if you are behind, then why in the world hassle a blog post. Right? And yet, all I can say is I am determined to keep this up as I just know there is going to come a time in maybe my life (and hopefully for sure in my kids and grandkids lives) where these journal/blog posts will be appreciated. Sooo I press on.
We had a VERY VERY productive week-end! Kept our noses to the grindstone so to speak and got some chores done. And we were both feeling accomplished last night as we were heading to bed. I am not going to go into detail, just a few pictures of "some" of our efforts.

AS YOU CAN SEE MY SEGA PALMS HAVE GOTTEN JUST HUGE. WE TRIMMED THEM WAY BACK AND THEY ARE STILL PRETTY BIG. WHAT I REALLY SHOULD HAVE DONE IS TAKEN A BEFORE PICTURE, BUT OH WELL... |
|
SCRUBBED ALL THE FURNITURE DOWN AND GOT OUT THE CUSHIONS THAT HAVE BEEN STORED FOR THE WINTER |
|
MOVED MY BIRD BATH OVER ~ (SEE IT THERE BETWEEN THE CHAIRS?) AS IT WAS BURIED UNDER THE SEGAS...DIDN'T THINK A BIRD COULD HAVE GOTTEN TO IT IF IT TRIED, HAHA |
|
I DID GET A NEW HUMMING BIRD FEEDER THOUGH I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE USE IT YET THIS MORNING. THIS IS WHERE I SIT (WHEN I CAN) TO DO MY DEVOTIONAL IN THE MORNING. SOO NICE |
Both cars FINALLY got washed, and I got a few things a Joanne's and we washed ALL of our windows and screens...whew. They are looking soo nice this morning. Funny how dusty a screen can get.
I don't think I showed my final two blankets, and here are the burp cloths I have finished for now. I am making a few more for Larissa. But I am going to stop and make a couple of bibs for Melody today as I want to get that package off to her tomorrow. I will go there when she has the baby of course, but she wants to put the final touches on Sam's big boy room and she needs the quilt I made for him.
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow for me, (not looking forward to that!) and hair appointments for me and mom later in the week, and I guess I need to schedule ANOTHER visit with the neurologist for mom, so we can start on possibly another pointless medication (did I say that? haha). I did hear that mom had a pretty good week-end, so I am soo pleased to hear that. Sooo lots still going on as usual. The message yesterday at church REALLY touched my heart and I am dwelling on that this morning. Hope you all have a wonderful week, and count your blessings that are everywhere.

I HAVE HAD THIS WINNIE THE POOH FABRIC LEFT OVER FROM SOMETHING FOR QUITE A WHILE, SO I DECIDED TO FINALLY PUT IT TO SOME USE |
|
LOVED THE COLORS IN THIS ONE |
|
THESE 4 ARE MEL'S. I MADE HER'S WITH THE "FRINGED" SIDES |
|
THEY ALL HAVE A PLAIN COORDINATING FABRIC ON THE FLIP SIDE |
|
THESE ARE LARISSA'S SO FAR. I FINISHED HERS THE TRADITIONAL WAY, ALL THE SNIPPING WAS GETTING TO MY WRIST, AND TRUTHFULLY, THEY ARE JUST AS CUTE |
I don't know how you do it all. Looks like quite a productive weekend for sure and the bibs and blankets are so, so cute and so handy and especially when they are "made by Mom." Happy week dear friend!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, Have I told you how much you inspire me-now if only you lived close and could kick me so I would get off my bumm. I still haven't finished the quilt I started last fall and before you know it the baby will be here and I'll need to make one. Love all the fabrics and burp rags. You are such a productive and busy gal. We are getting hit with snow today so no cleaning outside for me. Hope you have a wonderful day-I'll be around while I'm in Ca.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
You have been so busy! I was all set to spend the day in the sewing room, but after reading your blog this morning, I decided that I'd better get myself busy. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYou have so much going on, Debbie. I wish I had half your energy. Of course, I love seeing your handiwork, but today I want you to know that I am praying God's strength in you to help you navigate the many health issues involving your mom. You are giving her a beautiful gift - the gift of your presence and care. Thank you for loving so excellently, even when it is hard.

Love the tractor quilt. You are so productive you put me to shame. Your porch is beautiful, looks like a lovely place to do devotionals. Hoping you and your mom have a good week
ReplyDeleteWow! What a lot you got accomplished. The porch looks so welcoming and so pretty. Wonderful burp cloths. I don't think that a new mom can have too many. Hope that you have a very good week.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are powering through and posting. I am trying... trying... to do the same.
ReplyDeleteYour outside areas are wonderful and so springy and clean. I started my deck area yesterday but didn't make much progress. I get so tired these days. Sigh.
I love the blankets and am flat out in admiration of the burp cloths. The next time I need a baby shower gift, I want to make some. I would have love some pretty ones like that when I was a young mom. I just used a cloth diaper.
Girl look at you go..oh my!!! Everything is wonderful..from porch to baby items.
ReplyDeleteI have been praying for you and thinking of your mother, especially since we are going through the same thing with my Dad...blessings and hugs!
That was some weekend! Your porch looks beautiful and I love your furniture. Im on a tablet so it was a little hard for me to see but is that wrought iron? Looks beautiful..the bur cloths are adorable!
