UPDATES AND GOOD NEWS!

Well here it is Thursday afternoon already, and we have just heard GOOD news!  The pathology reports have already come in and they are all good.  The cancer has NOT spread anywhere else in her body.  The lymph nodes are all clear, and the everything else they tested is just fine.  Sooo this means that the cancer, while aggressive is in the early stages and therefore VERY treatable.  She will do some chemo but the prognosis looks great.  Praise God!  I am soo happy and relieved for them all.  These last few days have been difficult as she struggles to get over such an extensive surgery, and be away from her baby and children.  I spent the day sitting with her yesterday so that my poor sister could go home and shower and get a little rest.  My mom spent the day with another sister.  It is nice sometimes to have such a large family to lean on.   Michelle's hubby has his hands full dealing with all the little ones.  The 2 year old (she will be 3 next Mon.) is having a particularly difficult time being away from her mama.  She is old enough to know something is VERY wrong (where is my mommy?) and yet not old enough to understand a thing.  He brought the children to the hospital last night so they could see her, and the baby I guess laid beside her on the bed grinning and cooing to the delight of everyone that saw them.  He was soo happy to see her!  How hard this all is.  Michelle's attitude is great and she is positive, and ready for the battle.  My sister is tired, but grateful for all the prayers.   I am soo thankful to each and everyone of you that have lifted them in prayer, and ask that you might to continue to do so as the Lord draws them to your mind.

I have been busy with soo much this week.  Mom and I did get our hair done, our nails done, and I got a couple of needed items for our trip next week.  I finished up the blanket for Mike and Mel and made the nativity book for Sam.  All I have left to make before we leave is a set of Christmas coasters for them, and the rest can wait till we get back.  Mom will stay with us this week-end so that the sister she usually stays with can go up to the mountains with my other sister and Michelle to  be another pair of hands as they all settle back into the house.   I know how much my older sister will appreciate the help. Michelle and her little family live with my sister and her husband already, and now with all that is happening, it is a real help no doubt.  We are going to spend the day on Sat. decorating the inside of our house for Christmas.  Can't believe Thanksgiving is only a week away.  I am soo looking forward to holding sweet Sam and kissing those little cheeks.

I have been reminded this week again of what is important in this life, and what is just not.  Count your blessings everyday for there are MANY of them, no matter what the circumstances.  Knowing Jesus makes it possible to find joy everywhere irregardless of what road we find ourselves on.

Phil 4: 11- 13  Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:   I know how to be abased, and I how to abound.  Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.  I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.

Enjoy your week-end!

  8. Praise God! Would you believe that I have thought of your niece very often even in the night hours so God has been faithful to remind me of prayer. I love the story of the children with their mama and the baby cooing with happiness to be beside her again. Praying for a total restoration to health and wholeness for Michelle and stamina for the rest of the family as you all step up to help.

    Have fun decorating!

She has a tough road ahead of her, but I know that God will provide her and her family the strength, wisdom, and provision she needs to move through this trying season.
