TIME WHIPPING BY...

Welp, Friday again....time just whips by and we are already at MID April!  How can that be?  This was a good week.  Mom got released from her hard brace on Tues., and on Thursday we saw the new neurologist.  We have FINALLY changed all the doctors near me.  Took much longer than I would have liked, but I am just glad we have successfully made the transition, and so far so good.  I like her new primary care doc soo well that I am thinking of switching over myself.  And the new neurologist seemed thorough, and had a different route of medication he wants to go in.  Sooo while I HATE to change meds, his reasons for it really can't be argued with.  So we will begin the transition on that and hopefully it all goes well for mom.  Meanwhile, I have made 4 more receiving blankets!  I love them all.  My only problem so far is that I want both of the girls to have one of each, haha.  I made one that was kind of an experiment.  I put together a little "quilt" and put it in the center of one of them.  It came out really good!  I thought it was a brilliant idea! haha  jk.  But it is just soo me.  I discover some "new" thing and I can't be stopped.  Perhaps a bit compulsive?  And then we have had a plumbing problem these last couple of days and a very nice man is now crawling around under our house trying to discover just what the problem is.  I am soo hoping it is nothing too major.  Other than that looking forward to our week-end with a whole lot of nothing planned.  Hope you all have a good one!  Blessings, Debbie

For some reason my new camera is not taking clear pictures and I have no idea why...I am REALLY trying not to flip out over this....sigh.  So these are as good as I can get, and they are not very good.  I have the dial set at auto of course as I have never had the opportunity to to study up on it at all.  Soo annoying!  : (

THIS IS THE QUILT TOP ONE I MADE.  THE ELEPHANT PRINT IS JUST ADORABLE!

HERE IS AN UPCLOSE, UNCLEAR VIEW...SIGH

THIS IS REALLY BLURRY....BUT THIS FABRIC IS ADORABLE TOO...

A LITTLE BETTER HERE...ISN'T IT CUTE?

PLAINER, BUT I REALLY LIKE IT
ANOTHER KIND OF PLAIN ONE, BUT AGAIN I LOVE IT!

HERE'S MY PILE OF BLANKETS....CAN'T WAIT FOR THE BABIES

  1. It has got to feel great knowing that you're prepared for those new little ones in such a great way. Those blankets are special not only for the fabric, but for the love you stitched into them, too.

May all go very well with your mom's new meds. It can be a leap of faith to trust the doc with new "ideas."

Have a super weekend and may the trade-off go smoothly

  3. Hi my friend, I am so very impressed with the quilts-I love the fabric!!! You are so productive, I'm in awe. I am supposed to have my quilt done before the baby comes so I won't have any ufo's while I work on the baby's quilt. Huh-don't think that is going to happen unless I get off my duff and start working. I'm not sure what type of camera you have, but my Nikon has an auto setting and then other settings...I'm not very good but for showing the fabric & detail, I would put it on close-up(my dial has a small flower that indicates close up). You'll get the hang of it I know. So glad your mom got new dr.'s, hope they finally get all her meds straight. Have a glorious weekend.
    Much love, Noreen

  4. What gorgeous little blankets ... I'd be wanting to give one of each to both mamas ... you and I are so alike. ;-)

Glad that your mom is progressing well ... praying that the change in meds will make a difference.

  7. I so envy you bloggers that can quilt!!! I've had a notion to try my 'hand at it'...but always chicken out. Your works are super. And I don't think your photos are bad at all.

Yes, it's great to have doctors you can trust.

It's been a busy week here in Texas, sorry for the delay in getting back to you to repay you a visit. Hope your weekend is going well.

  8. I love your blankets Debbie. What great gifts for the little ones. I understand how disturbing it can be when our cameras aren't cooperating. I take my camera with me all the time. And recently I've been having problems. However, I think it's been remedied but I'm not holding my breath. Thank you for your thoughts on my American Idol post. I value your input.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie

You really have been busy with your 'love' blankies!
They are all so cute. I see you mastered your mitering well too.
I hope the med changes work out as planned and the new Doc works out too, especially since he's closer to home. I can't even imagine driving in the traffic you do!
    Take care-Kimberly
