SOO MANY PJ'S

Well here we are on the last day of October on Thursday already.  I don't really have much to report, lol.  I have been spending pretty much all the time I can get in front of my sewing machine trying as best as I can to stick to my schedule.  I am trying to take a little break today as I needed to run some errands this morning, and truthfully my lower back needs a rest.  I had a wonderful sewing chair that for some unexplainable reason I decided to leave behind when we moved.  So I sit on a hard kitchen chair and it just doesn't work well for me.  Think I might ask Santa for a new comfy sewing chair, lol.  So on my schedule for this week is PJ's, and I am moving right along.  Here are the ones I have completed...they are really honestly so quick and simple to make, and I have been making them for so many years, that I can almost do them in my sleep, haha.

SAME PATTERN ~ DIFFERENT SIZES

LOVED THIS FABRIC AND I FOUND IT ACCIDENTALLY AT WAL-MART.  NEVER REALLY LOOK FOR FABRIC THERE BUT SAW THIS AND SCOOPED IT UP.  COST ABOUT 6 DOLLARS AS I ALREADY HAD THE BUTTONS.  SOMETIMES THOSE BUTTONS COST MORE THAN THE FABRIC, SO WHEN I SEE SOME OF AROUND THIS SIZE ON SALE,  I SWOOP THEM UP!

CODY IS INTO SNOOPY THESE DAYS...THIS WAS PRETTY CUTE TOO
I HAD ALREADY BOUGHT THE PLAIN RED FOR SAM WHEN I SAW THIS JOHN DEERE CHRISTMAS FABRIC SO I JUST HAD TO GET IT....SOO CUTE!

AND HERE IS HIS PLAIN RED.  I EMBROIDERED THE TRACTOR PULLING THE PRESENTS ON IT AND I WAS REALLY NERVOUS UNTIL IT WAS DONE AS I MADE THE PJ'S FIRST AND THEN PUT THE DESIGN ON.  IF THE DESIGN GOT RUINED FOR ANY REASON, THE WHOLE EFFORT WAS DOWN THE DRAIN.   BUT IT CAME OUT REALLY CUTE I THOUGHT.  THESE ONES WERE REALLY INEXPENSIVE AS THE PLAIN FLANNEL WAS ON SALE FOR 60 PERCENT OFF WHEN I BOUGHT THIS.  HAD THE BUTTON AND MY THREADS, SO THESE WERE LESS THAN 5 DOLLARS.  I LOVE IT! LOL
I am going to make the new babies some blanket bags for there new ones, and I think I will get started on them next.  If I stick to my schedule I will cut them out when I am done here.  I hate to cut things out and always feel like I have gotten the worse of it done when I have complete that chore.  Oh I did make Sam a little t-shirt that I got for free.  I can always find him little t-shirts for less than 4 dollars and so when I do I buy them up, haha.  Wish I could find some solid colored plain ones for the babies in the little body suits. Seems to be difficult for some reason.  I want to find some so that I can make them Thanksgiving and Christmas shirts, but so far no luck.

OK, guess that's all for now.  Hope you are all having a good week.  Hope I am not boring you all to pieces with my constant sewing projects, haha, but seems to be where I am at in this season in my life!  Blessings to you all!

  1. Sounds like you are right on schedule Debbie. Love the John Deere fabric. I will actually say I have begun to start thinking about Christmas already and have made one small purchase (that's huge for me I usually don't even want to think about it until after Thanksgiving) You guys have inspired me to start thinking ahead. Hope you have a nice weekend

  2. Oh I love those John Deere jammies! What a cute fabric. I'm amazed that you have made so many pairs. Do you do one set from start to finish or do you do assembly line style?

  3. I was at the store today with my grandsons and they were begging for some new pajamas, but I can tell you there were not any as cute as these pajamas. You just keep on impressing me with your skills. What fortunate little ones they are!

  4. You have become a sewing maniac! My goodness, you could open an Etsy Shop but that might take all the fun out of it for you. Good job and I know they will all love them. Happy weekend!

  5. I like Lea's comment about you being a sewing maniac. So funny! But, you are being very productive and having fun at the same time. That is the way I am about my painting these days. I may as well paint two or three while I have the paints out and everything all set up. Have a great weekend.

  6. I am loving your sewing projects!!! Love all of those cute and cuddly pj's. And I wanted to tell you something that I do. Salvation Army near me often as items of clothing for 1.00. I look for things with interesting buttons, and/or lots of buttons. I buy these things for the buttons ONLY! It is a cheap way to built button stock. They have gotten crazy expensive!!

  8. I think every thing you make is just fantastic. I really like those pajamas and the stitching is just amazing. My son works as a graphic artist and just mentioned the other day the guy he works for does Tshirts and Hats and I thought about you and thought how much fun you must be having. I am so impressed how much you have got done and it is just November today. Great Job Debbie,
