LOTS OF PICTURES AND MEMORIES

It's late Sunday afternoon and we just got back from church.  This will be quick because honestly I am tired and the couch, PJ's, and a Christmas movie are calling my name, lol.

The party to honor my mom went really well.  The dinner was good, the company was better, and the memory will go down in the books.  We visited and remembered and shared our stories of mom  both of recent and our growing up years.  It's been a long time since my brothers and sisters all got together for Christmas, as like I said when you add in our families there are just soo many of us it makes it almost impossible.  This was both quite different and nice.

I had put together a small shutterfly book of pictures of mom for everyone.  There were just so many old pictures that we discovered of her after she had passed away, that I thought it would be nice for us to all to have a few of them together in a book.  They make really good pictures and it is just a nice way to have them for those of you who have never seen one done before.  I also made each one of them a towel as I felt like it was kind of from mom too as I wouldn't have my new machine without her.  Let me show you a few pictures of all of this.

I KEPT THE BOOK SOFT COVERED AND LIMITED TO 20 PAGES AS TIMES 6 IT WAS GETTING KIND OF COSTLY.  BUT THERE WAS PLENTY OF GREAT PICTURES OF MOM

This of course was just a few pictures out of the book, but you get the idea.

THIS ONE WAS FOR MY BROTHER DEAN...SUCH A CUTE DESIGN

AND THIS ONE I GAVE TO MY BROTHER DAVE WHEN WE WERE IN ARIZONA

THIS CAME FROM A PACK OF DESIGNS THAT I CHOSE FOR THE GIRLS  THESE WERE SOO FUN TO DO.  I FOUND THAT THE MORE DENSE DESIGNS WERE PERFECT FOR TOWEL.  SOO COLORFUL AND FUN TO DO, BUT THEY DID TAKE QUITE A WHILE  THIS ONE WAS FOR MY SISTER DANAE

THIS ONE WAS FOR MY SISTER DONNA.  I LOVED THE WAY THE VARIEGATED THREAD MADE IT LOOK LIKE A TWEED OR SOMETHING...FUN  THERE WAS SO MUCH DETAIL IN THESE DESIGNS

THIS ONE WAS FOR ME!

AND THIS FOR MY SISTER DIANE

I MADE THIS CUTE LITTLE ANIMATED DISH ONE FOR MY  YOUNGEST SISTER'S BIRTHDAY WHICH IS THE 26TH OF DECEMBER

ANOTHER ONE...THIS WAS A REALLY CUTE SET OF DESIGNS.  I HAD ORIGINALLY PLANNED ON PUTTING THESE ON FLOUR SACK TOWELS, BUT IT ENDED UP BEING A DISASTER,  SO I USED THESE, LOL   LIKE I SAID I REALLY LIKE THE MORE INVOLVED DENSER DESIGNS ON TOWELS, BUT THESE DESIGNS WERE TO CUTE TO PASS UP

THIS IS FOR MY HAIR DRESSER AND NIECE JESSICA....LOVED IT!  I AM PRETTY SURE SHE NEVER READS MY BLOG SO I FEEL SAFE PUTTING THIS UP AS I WILL GIVE THIS TO HER ON TUES WHEN I GET MY HAIR DONE
I MADE UP A COUPLE OF THE SELF BINDING RECEIVING BLANKETS FOR JESSICA'S COMING BABY.  IT WAS A NICE BREAK FROM MY OTHER SEWING, AND THESE ARE SO QUICK AND EASY TO DO.

HERE IS ANOTHER ONE....I LOVE THIS DARLING LITTLE PRINT, BUT I AM HOPING SHE DOES TO AS SHE PREFERS DESIGNS ~ POLKA DOT, CHEVRON STIPES ETC. ~ OVER NURSERY PRINTS, BUT I COULDN'T RESIST THIS

THE DECORATIVE STITCH SHOWS UP MORE ON THE PLAIN SIDE...LOVE THE HEARTS MY NEW MACHINE WILL DO

THIS ONE WAS FOR MY LONG TIME GIRL FRIEND!
MY SISTER DIANE CROCHETED US ALL CHRISTMAS WASH CLOTHES FOR THE KITCHEN....THESE ARE THE BEST WASH CLOTHES EVER!  I LOVE THEM.  ONCE YOU USE ONE OF THESE I NEVER WANT TO USE ANYTHING ELSE.  MY MOM USED TO MAKE THESE TOO

I know this post is already got way too many pictures, but I am almost done....for now, lol.  I just wanted to show you my new banner that I won at a giveaway over at Straight from the Heart from April.  It was just darling, and I was so grateful to her.  She has an absolutely delightful blog that I have been following for a few months now. If you don't know her, pop over and visit her.  I know you will be really glad you did.  Thanks again April!

FITS PERFECT HERE I THINK!

DI SHOWING OFF HER TOWEL

Believe it or not I could go on as today we took our little grand daughter Capri out to lunch after church to celebrate her 9th birthday, and I have some unbelievably cute professional pictures of my youngest son's kids to share but I really must stop, and share all of this later.  I know my posts are frequently too long, but remember, I have to get all of this information into my journal books....guess I don't HAVE TOO, lol, but I do want to.  I have a busy, busy, next couple of weeks coming up as I am sure all of you do too.  I am praying we all stay healthy, and that I keep my head and heart focused on what truly matters this Christmas season.  Many blessings to you all!

Love, Debbie
