WEEK-END WRAP-UP

This will be a pretty quick wrap-up of our week-end (for me, lol) as I have many things I want/need to get busy on this morning.  It was a busy, yet GOOD week-end.  Sat. was cleaning day for hubby and I.  We got busy right away, and since we had such a thorough clean just 4 weeks ago, and our cleaning woman cleaned in between, it was just really not that bad and we wrapped it up in just a little under 4 hours.  Every thing glistens and shines and honestly there is just NO comparison between us and her.  And yet, a few hours a month is enough to keep the house the way I want it to be, without it taking too much of our (really hubby's) free time.  After our chore time it was hubby's turn to pick a movie and so we saw the new Tom Cruise Sci-Fi one.  It was only OK in my opinion, but hubby enjoyed it.  We did a good grocery shopping after that and finished up our evening relaxing in front of the TV.  On Sunday there wasn't time to travel all the way down to San Diego to church and still be back up here in Orange County for my nieces graduation party, so we listened to our old pastor live on-line instead.  It was excellent (love that pastor soo much!) but just not the same.  What with a visit from hubby's dad, and our trip to Melody's, we haven't been to church in a few weeks now.  How I am missing it ALL you just can't imagine.  From the teaching, to the fellowship afterwards, to the time spent with my son and his family.  I am soo looking forward to getting back to it all. The graduation party was just soo nice.  From the beautiful decorations, to time spent with family and friends, the food, the celebration of Tabi's accomplishments, and even the weather, it was just a really nice day.  I did manage to get a few pics, though they were all from my i-pone,  but you can certainly get the drift. There were a lot of them so I put them in collages for quicker viewing purposes.

TABI GETTING HER QUILT.  SHE SEEMED PLEASED...

MY BROTHER WITH ALL 5 OF HIS CHILDREN, AND FEW OF THE OTHER PEOPLE THERE

I GAVE MICHELLE HER PILLOW TOO AS I DON'T REALLY GET MUCH OTHER OPPORTUNITY TO SEE HER.  SHE SENT ME A PICTURE LATER WITH THE PILLOW ON THEIR BED, AND I AM PLEASED TO SEE IT DID GO WITH HER COLORS WELL.  SHE WAS VERY PLEASED

I WAS ABLE TO VISIT WITH JESSIE AND HER HUBBY AND LITTLE WESTON FOR A WHILE TOO.  HE IS ALREADY 2 AND HALF MONTHS OLD AND JUST AS CUTE AS HE CAN BE!
I intend to make a shirt for hubby for Father's day this week, in addition to getting started on a new quilt that I am going to be making for Melody's sister-in-law for her wedding in Oct.  The fabrics arrived on Sat., and I am really pleased with them.  I will show them to you later.  I also have a couple of lunch dates planned with friends this week, and my sister Diane will also be over this week and we have some things we want to work on together for ourselves and our other sisters out of quilting blocks and an old quilt of my mother's. We are hoping to get this done by what would have been mom's 82 birthday in August for everyone.  I also need to make some more burp cloths for Jessie (there is just never enough of those, lol) and her best friend is having a baby in Sept. and she has asked me to make some for her as well.  She insists she is paying me to do this, but we will see lol.  She is having a girl, so honestly I am kind of looking forward to it.  Haven't made anything for a little girl in a while now.

I will leave you now with a few cute grandkid pics that I need to work into my blog book.  Hope you all have a good week ahead for you to.  Blessings to you all!  Debbie

CODY AGAIN CONQUERING ONE OF HIS FEARS.  HE HAS BEEN BOTH FASCINATED WITH LIZARDS WHILE BEING TERRIFIED OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME.  HE FINALLY DECIDED HE COULD MAYBE CATCH ONE WITH A GLOVE ON AND USING A PAPER TOWEL AS WELL.  GOOD JOB CODY!

  10. As usual, I enjoyed your wrap up so much. My favorite part of all was the part about Cody. I will never forget the prayer he offered. That is one of my favorite stories from you. I love his little face in the lizard catching picture.

Tell him that he inspires me to put on a glove and face my fears a little better.

And I love the part about the quilt for your mom's birthday. Just love that.
