THIS S L O W WEEKS WRAP UP

Well it's finally Friday afternoon, lol.  I don't remember a week in quite a while that seemed to go by this slowly.  Now don't get me wrong.  I enjoyed every minute of it.  I honestly just needed a little time that wasn't rushed and busy and full.  I did do some sewing but I took my time and didn't feel the least bit "hurried" about any of it.  I had myself a nap, or maybe even 2, lol, and caught up a bit on my leisure reading.  And yesterday I spent with my grandson's Cody and Jeffie celebrating Cody's sixth birthday a little late. They are both get out early on Thursday's from school so I picked them up there and we headed first to the movies to see Paddington the Bear.  They snacked on popcorn and icees, and we had the theater to ourselves.  After the movies I took them both for hair cuts.  And then we went to Toys R Us where Cody picked out his birthday presents.  Can't tell you how much I enjoyed them.  I intended to take their pics after their fresh hair cuts, but ended up forgetting.  Take my word for it....they were quite handsome!  Then since their mama works later on Thursday's I decided to take them to dinner too. I was totally impressed with how well they behaved and how good their manners were.  Makes such a difference doesn't it? I didn't get home until almost 7 but it was such a nice time.

There is something wrong with my new lap top so I am using my old one. Goodness I had forgotten just how many little annoyances this one has.  It won't type several different numbers, only 1 of it's shift keys works, it sticks all over the place and on and on the list goes.  But for now I am grateful I had a backup.

I have had me quite a time these last couple of days getting over Melody being gone again.  Won't see her of course until after she gives birth.  She and I talk via text every day several times a day, but enjoying an actual conversation on the phone is kind of rare anymore.  She has her hands a little full for that.  And when her hubby is indoors her focus is on him.  I think she might have gotten that from me, lol.  Her "boys" to include her hubby were sure glad to see her though too.  You would have thought she had been gone a week instead of 3 days.  This picture kind of says it all...

JUST SHEER JOY
I made a few bibs this week and I have decided to try something a little new....I have enough fabric left to duplicate every one that I made so I am going to offer them for sale and see if there is any interest.  I do not want to go to the trouble of setting up an Etsy shop, especially when I have no idea if after I sell these bib and hair tie combos I will ever even want to do it again, lol.  And that's IF they even sell at all.  Melody, who has like a bajillion friends most of whom are having babies or have babies, is going to post these on her Facebook and Instagram pages and see if we have any interest.  I am offering them here as well.  It's very difficult putting prices to things so I apologize if they seem unreasonably priced, lol.  I just know of course how much they cost me to make in the first place, and then of course there is shipping, and we won't even really consider my time.  But they have to be at least somewhat worth my while.  I looked around on Etsy and Instagram to see what things are going for, and then priced mine quite bit lower, lol.  I have no doubt I am going about this wrong and somewhat half heartily, but we will see.  IF any of you are interested let me know as my hubby has a PAY PAL account we can use.  Here they are....

OK HERE IS THE FIRST ONE...THIS BIB IS QUILTED IN WHITE DECORATIVE STITCHING AND HAS WARM AND NATURAL ON THE INSIDE FOR MORE ABSORBENCY.  THE BACK IS WHITE TERRY CLOTH.  THE LITTLE LABEL SO SWEET IS PUT ON WITH MACHINE STITCHING.  IT COMES WITH A MATCHING HAIR TIE BAND THAT IS SIZED FOR BABIES 0-3 MONTHS, THOUGH I COULD MAKE ONE BIGGER IF NEEDED.  THE BIBS CLOSE WITH SNAPS

LITTLE CLOSER VIEW

ALL THE SAME THINGS AS THE FIRST SET THOUGH I USED A DARKER GREY THREAD TO QUILT IT WITH HERE

LOVED THESE LITTLE LABELS

AND THIS ONE IS MY PERSONAL FAVORITE, LOL.  THE QUILTING HERE HAS BEEN DONE IN  A DARK PURPLE THREAD.    THE MATCHING HAIR TIE IS ALSO 0-3 MONTHS SIZED

CLOSER LOOK AT STITCHING AND LABEL

AND THIS IS THE BANDANNA BIBS THAT ARE SOO POPULAR RIGHT NOW.  THE YOUNG WOMEN SEEM TO LIKE THESE A LOT AND THIS IS MELODY''S PERSONAL FAVORITE.  I THINK THE OTHERS ARE WAY CUTER, BUT IT MIGHT JUST BE A GENERATIONAL THING,  THE HEADBAND AGAIN IS 0-3 BUT CAN BE MADE BIGGER.  THIS BIB IS REVERSIBLE AND YOU CAN SEE THE FABRIC ON THE FLIP SIDE AT THE TOP.  IT CLOSES BY JUST STICKING ONE OF THE ENDS THROUGH A BUTTON HOLE AND PULLING TILL IT STOPS.  SUPER EASY AND CUTE LOOK

I am going to ask for 20 dollars for the combo or I will sell separately if someone is just interested in one or the other.  The bibs on their own would be 15 dollars and 7 for the hair ties.

OK I guess that's it for now.  I am looking forward to the week-end though it's heated up here in So California these last few days and we are pushing ninety today.  A little too warm for me.  Not a lot of plans besides a birthday party on Sunday afternoon for my little Valentine's grand daughter Donatella.  Hope you all have a GOOD week-end, and enjoy your time with all of your Valentines! Blessings to you all!  Debbie

  1. Too bad we can't mix together your heat and our cold and come up with something a lot more tolerable for both of us. ;-) I think you'll do fine with those bib/hair tie (I almost typed "hair pretty" which is T#4's way to refer to anything for her hair) combos ... they're all adorable!

  2. What a fun day you describe with your grandsons. Yes, it sure does help when they are behaving like gentlemen!

Much success with the combos you are offering. They are all so cute and they sound reasonably priced to me.

So glad that you had a quiet, restful week. It's important to have some like that every now and again.
