WEEK-END WRAP UP...

Thought I'd take this opportunity to put up a quick post as hubby is finishing up watching the super bowl (it is not going well for our Patriots right now...sigh) and I don't think I will have any time at all tomorrow to do so.  Someday I am going to analyze why I always seem to be in SUCH a rush and run around like a chicken without it's head trying to get things done...finish things off....just be on top of things, but I just am.  Goodness we had such a busy week-end that I am just beat sitting here, and I didn't think we had that much to do until I sat and made a list late Friday afternoon.  I am hosting the women's bible study group this month at our house Wednesday night, which with everything else I have going on was not very good planning, lol.  I guess it's because when I signed up for it last Sept., February seemed soo far away and I had nothing on the calendar.  But while it wouldn't usually be any issue whatsoever, I am very swamped right now.  NOT that it should matter.  But truthfully I have not been keeping up with my housework to my usual standards, and there is NO way I can have women in my house without some sprucing up, lol.  I wish I was the kind who didn't care, but I guess I am just TOO much like my mom was and I can't seem to help myself.  Sooo here's what we accomplished work wise this week-end.  Hosed and cleaned off the front patio area and furniture and got my Valentines wreath hung and welcome bear dressed for the holiday.  Hubby scrubbed all the tile, and gave the house a thorough vacuuming too including the furniture.  We washed all the living room windows and screens (soo bad from the recent rains) and thoroughly cleaned out my china cabinet (do that only once a year!) which still had all the Christmas china displayed.  Then, we had NO choice but to thoroughly take apart the fridge and clean it too.  (My goodness!!  The patriots just won!  YAY!!) And!!  I embroidered the scripture picture that Melody is going to use in the nursery, but also that we are going to display at the sprinkle next week-end.  It is pretty much the theme of the sprinkle.  And hubby put together a no sew fleece blanket that is his gift to the new baby as well framing the scripture. He is the one that does that for me and always does such a good job.  We had originally planned on going out to a nice dinner to celebrate our 40th anniversary (which is today!) on Sat night, but by the time it was time to get ready to go, neither one of us felt much like it, lol.  So today we went out instead for a nice, long, DELICIOUS lunch before the super bowl.  I still have a couple of little things I am going to sew this week, but mainly I will getting last minute things ready for the sprinkle and the anniversary renewal party.  My hair, nails, I still need some shoes, and on and on the list goes. Hope you all had a good week-end.  I am a little behind but I will be around to visit soon.  Blessings to you all...Debbie  (Oh, and now I will show you the last few little things.)

HUBBY GETS DOWN ON THE FLOOR TO DO THIS WHICH WOULD MAKE IT MUCH EASIER I SUPPOSE BUT OF COURSE THERE IS NO WAY I COULD.  HE ALSO MEASURES AND IS QUITE METICULOUS ABOUT HIS CUTS.  I DEAD EYE WHEN I DO THIS AND AM A LOT MORE HELTER SKELTER, LOL

COWS OF COURSE!

  7. Hi Debbie, I am so far behind in getting to everyone's blog daily; I always think I will but never do. Loved hearing all you are up too-Happy Belated Anniversary! Hope you have a fantastic day! My brother and sil celebrated #47 yesterday, where did the years go?
Love the verse; I didn't realize you had an embroidery machine, is this your sewing machine too? I have some stitches/alphabet on mine but it isn't like yours-or I'd utilize it more. Love the outfit for the baby! You accomplish so much my friend, I think you are much too hard on yourself. In the last couple of years, I've relaxed more about the house and don't worry. I'm thankful cause hubby has too. Hope you have a wonderful afternoon. Enjoy that sunshine-we have snow today.
    Love, Noreen

    Happy Belated 40th anniversary.

Wasn't that Super Bowl exciting? Okay and a little nervewracking, too.

  9. Happy Belated 40th Anniversary! I like that we have that in common, because with every visit here, I realize how little we have in common. Seriously, I dream of being as creative and skilled as you! What a gifted lady! I really like the verse you did for your daughter, with the Scripture verse. So pretty!
