WWEEK-END WRAP UP

Well it's early afternoon on Mon April 13th and I am officially FINALLY done with all my projects!  lol  How many months have I been at it I wonder?  Can't say of course that I didn't enjoy every single minute of it because of course I did.  I have a feeling I will be sewing for this little girl for a few more years at least Lord willing.  This morning I finally embroidered the boys Big Brother shirts. I have not looked forward to doing it as I have somewhat of a problem when I am using the same designs on shirts, and yet they need to be adjusted for size.  I want them to look identical (have I mentioned I am a little bit OCD? lol) and it is much harder then you might think.  I want them to be the same distance from the pockets that are on the shirts, and the same distance from the neck band, and not look TOO much different in size even though of course the font has to be set differently to fit on the smaller one etc.  I did Sam's first.  And honestly it came out SOOO perfectly in terms of where I wanted it on the shirt, the size of the entire design etc., I knew in advance that there was just not going to be any way that Luke's would be as perfect.  And it wasn't.  lol.  But it was good enough and over all I am as pleased as I can be on the way they turned out.  Now truthfully I LOOKED AND LOOKED AND LOOKED for shirts for the boys that were GREY like the onesie is for Claire but they simply weren't to be found in the right sizes (even online!).  So I had to settle for navy blue.  I did do the designs in the same color of thread that I used on hers, and so it matches good enough.  Let me show you, though let me mention in advance that there is NO way these pictures do them justice. I did not get out my good camera so these are phone ones, but you will get the idea.

THE LIGHTING IS NOT VERY GOOD HERE I KNOW...

A BETTER LOOK AT THE ONESIE IF YOU MISSED THIS BEFORE

CLOSE UP OF SAM'S THOUGH THE LIGHTING IS SO BAD IT IS HARD TO SEE THE COLORS.  TRUST ME THEY ARE IDENTICAL TO THE ONESIE ABOVE.
Our week-end was good even though it was busy.  We spent pretty much the whole day on Sat. cleaning house.  It looks good now and I am glad we did it but I did do just a tiny bit of whining at the time.  I just don't like to spend hubby's day's off doing things like this...it goes soo against my grain and against how I spent years and years of my life.  I was blessed with never having to work outside of the home so I made a point of having things done during the week so week-ends were spent relaxing and just enjoying family.  But I need his help and it is what it is.  Sunday we went down to church but did not go over to our son's house afterwards as a couple of the kids were sick and I can't risk picking up anything else before it's time to go to Melody's.  So were home by 2 and spent the rest of the day and evening relaxing.  It was nice.

I'd put myself at 95 percent over the Shingles.  I still have a little bit of pain occasionally, but honestly it is sooo nothing compared to what I had it is no big deal.  I also have one shingle that was HUGE on my arm not completely gone.  It was kind of weird in the first place.  But it is SOOO much better as well, and doesn't bother much, and I am sure that it too is almost on a wrap.  I will be glad when it is totally gone though I am not going to lie.

Here is the decision hubby came up with as to when we will go to Melody's and how we will handle it, and honestly I think it is about as good as it gets.  My daughter will go to the docs on Thursday and be examined.  DEPENDING on what is happening will determine what we will do.  If it looks like not much has happened we will wait until Wed. April 22 to leave, and we will stay until Sat or Sun May 2 or 3rd.  If she has not had the baby while we are there, or has just had the baby a couple of days earlier or something, hubby will leave me and go home and come back after the baby is born and I have been there a few days.  Lot's of driving for him (personally I don't know if I could bear that...but he is SOO good about things like that) so I am hoping that doesn't happen.  However, IF she hears on Thursday that it looks like she is very close to going into labor we will head out on this Friday. Soo who knows?  Meanwhile of course all of these plans could still change in a blink if she were to go into labor.  But I have an appointment to do my hair tomorrow, my nails on Wednesday, and a little clothes shopping on Thursday, so I am hoping (for a lot more reasons then these of course!) that little Miss Claire decides to stay put for a while.  Any old way you look at it though it is getting close and this grandma is getting excited.  Not much else is as exciting as the coming of a new life.

I don't have much else to tell so I guess I will get off of here and clean up my last sewing mess for a while at least, lol.   I did want to share a couple of pictures with you though.  Melody's sister in law Brooke got married last Oct as some of you may recall, and she and her hubby and little Sam were all in the wedding.  Well the professional pictures are FINALLY here and I have managed to steal sneak take borrow get a couple of them for you to see.  They are all sooo good!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE THIS ONE OF MELODY AND SAM!!

COMING UP THE AISLE...ARE THEY ADORABLE OR WHAT?
AND COMING BACK DOWN...HE DID SOO GOOD.  HE HAD JUST TURNED 3!  THAT'S MY HEAD STICKING OUT BEHIND THE LADY IN THE LAVENDER DRESS...WITH THE SUN GLASSES ON, LOL.  I GOT A PRETTY GOOD SEAT!
Hope you all have a good week!  I will post again (I think) before we leave.  Blessings to you all!  Debbie

I am also so glad you are doing so much better and you are 95 percent over the shingles. I never wanted to say anything but my sister was sick with them for six months. So I was just sick worried about you.
