SOME FRIDAY WRAP UPS AND THOUGHTS!

It can't possibly be Friday AGAIN already can it?  And May first as well?!  Time just flies by soo fast.  But while this has been a fast week in most ways it seems, I have taken things really slow.  It has been nice.  I adjusted really well to the new med and didn't seem to have any problems (with the exception of a slight tummy issue) with it at all. Now I have NO idea if it has actually done anything or not, lol, but at least I have been able to take it.  I have not been having ANY real pain to speak of, the tingling in the shoulder is almost completely gone as well, and in general I have been really feeling pretty good.  I am beginning to think that the "shingle" I am still seeing on my arm might just well be a scar and not an actual shingle at all.  It is soo hard to see it, as I had to have a mirror to even do so.  But it is still there no matter what it is. Hubby can never tell  abouth these things either btw, lol.  I have 3 more days of medication and then I guess we will see what happens.  Meanwhile, I am back to feeling like I am at least 95 percent over it which I can live with. I am like I said taking it slow and have even taken a couple of short naps as well.  I did work on the quilt for my daughter's friend, but I ran into a couple of issues.  First, my embroidery machine was not working just right, and then when my decorative stitches were not either, I loaded it up (actually hubby loaded it for me!) and I took it over to the Bernina shop.  It worked out really well for me when I got there as not only was the young repair guy there, but he saw me pull up and begin getting my machine out of the car, so he ran out and carried it in for me.  I think I have mentioned that it is SUPER heavy.  Anyway after I told him all it was doing he checked it out for me right on the spot, and was able to make a couple of quick adjustments and had it running perfectly in just a few minutes.  He also showed me a different more efficient way to oil it on a regular basis.  He also mentioned after he checked it that I have put on a little over a million stitches since I had it serviced last Nov.!  He said using it as much as I do I would benefit from servicing it more like every 6 months instead of 12.  So guess I better get it in soon.  But meanwhile he loaded it up and got it back in my car for me. Oh, and did I mention it didn't cost me a cent for his time?!  Soo grateful!  I was able to get it back in the house myself and set it back up in my cabinet.  I am going to have to re-do the embroidery work on it I tired to do, as it just does NOT look like I would like it to, though some would say I am being picky. I probably am, but I don't care.  I am not in any hurry, and I want it to be nice. I think I am going to add another color to the designs as well, which should look good and make them pop more. I do need to purchase some more fabric though in order to re-do the embroidery squares, but that's OK.  I will probably run by Hobby Lobby tomorrow and do that.  I will wait until I get it together to show you, but it shouldn't be long.  Other then that we have had a HOT week.  Well into the 90's several of the days, but it is suppose to cool way down again next week and I am glad as I am just not ready for scorching days.  I am worried about California as we are SOO dry.  Never good with fire season around the corner too.  Praying the Lord blesses us with some rain soon.  Made me grateful for air conditioning though I can tell you that.  Little Miss Claire is doing well I hear and Melody has actually already been out grocery shopping with all 3 of them by herself!  Brave girl I tell you, lol. Actually she just straps the baby on her in a carrier and she has both of her hands free to work the other two and groceries as well.  She took Claire in for her 2 week check-up today and she is up to 7 pounds!  She is sleeping 4 to 5 hour stretches at night, and eats every 2 to 3 hours during the day. She is doing great!  I miss them all SOO much.  I made a little video up to send the boys where I had a little stuffed Copper dog talking to them.  If I was brave I'd show it to you, but I am not feeling so inclined, lol. Lucky you.... The boys on the other hand LOVED it, and have made Melody show it to them numerous times.  Some of Mike's family is arriving tomorrow for a few days to see the baby and I am soo happy they are getting to.  I guess I don't really have much else to share so I am going to get off of here and clean and hose off the front porch some and water my plants.  Poor things are soo parched.  Hope you all have a relaxing GOOD week-end enjoy some glorious spring weather!  Blessings to you all, Debbie

JUST HAD TO SHOW YOU CLAIRE WEARING THE LIGHT GREEN ROMPER SUN SUIT I MADE FOR HER.  HOW ADORABLE IS SHE IN THIS?

AND READY FOR THE DOCTOR THIS MORNING!  HELLO MY PRECIOUS PRETTY GIRL!

JUST HAVE TO TELL YOU A QUICK STORY ABOUT THIS LITTLE CUTIE.  IT IS SOO HARD TO BE THE MIDDLE CHILD!  HE IS NOT AS OLD AS SAM IS SO OF COURSE HE JUST CANNOT BE ON AS MUCH AS SAM IS WHEN IT COMES TO DOING THINGS AROUND THE DAIRY AND FARM WITH THEIR DADDY.  ON WED HE WAS LEFT BEHIND WHEN SAM GOT TO GO AND RIDE ON THE TRACTOR IN THE AFTERNOON AND SPENT A GOOD HALF HOUR I GUESS ON THE GROUND CRYING BY THE DOOR IN UTTER DESPAIR.  SO THE NEXT DAY DADDY TOOK HIM FOR A RIDE IN THE BIG TRUCK!  HIS LITTLE HAPPY GLEEFUL FACE SAYS IT ALL.  YOU'LL GROW UP FAST ENOUGH SWEET LUKEY!

  1. Oh Poor guy! It is hard when you don't get to do the things big brother does and they think they are just as big.

  2. First Debbie, I am so happy that you are getting back to feeling good again. Doesn't it make you have a greater compassion for those who are sick? It always seems to make me more aware of them and how hard it is.

Second, this baby girl is so beautiful!! Just think of how those 2 precious boys will always be watching out for her. She is a little doll!

  5. So glad you are feeling better and so so sorry, that just isn't fun. As for the Bernina being serviced, I had to laugh, I just had my serviced (930) after over a decade!!! I not sewing as much as you now, but for years I did with my business...so I was a bad girl by not taking it in more often. LOL The grands are just precious and I love him in the truck. You take care and maybe you will get some of the rain we have had.

    Hugs
