THANKFUL THURSDAY!

I decided it was about time to do a thankful Thursday post.  It has been quite a while.  As always my heart overflows with all the things that I have been blessed with.  A loving, helpful, funny, and giving husband who fills my life with his wonderful self, lol.  And for my children and grandchildren who bring me indescribable joy.  For the comfortable home that shelters me, the food that fills me, [too much sometimes...grin] the ability at this time in my life to spend my days sewing and creating things that can bring happiness and fun to others.  And right at the top of the list I am thankful for my God who loves me in spite of the fact that I don't always focus on my blessings, but instead whine and complain about the hardships in this life.  But this morning I am particularly grateful that it was my extreme privilege to lead my sister and two nieces through a Bible study, then the sinners prayer and finally into a saving relationship with the Lord of all.  It has been many years since I have had such a privilege and I beyond humbled that God would use me for such an awesome event.  One of the girls [and hopefully both of them eventually] plans on attending church for a while with hubby and I as she gets her feet on the ground for this new life she's begun.  I pray that the girls grow swiftly and strong in Him, and that I can assist them in any way that I am able.  There's no doubt about it.  Life here on this earth is hard.  The world we live in today is particularly difficult and troubling and continues to just get worse and worse it seems.  But our God remains the same.  His joy and peace can continue to fill us and spill out into hope as we trust totally in Him.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13

We didn't get to our sewing yesterday after-all as by the time we finished the study we decided to go to lunch and celebrate their new lives with Him.  I've LOTS to do today, but I have a feeling the joy I feel today will overshadow much else.  Blessings and joy to you all!  Debbie

  3. Dear Debbie, Oh what joy-two near sisters in Christ and your were the instrument the Lord used to bring them into the kingdom.
What a celebration they had in heaven as the girls prayed. Sounds like a perfect day to me. I only got a little sewing in today, but like you counting my blessings.

  6. Oh what joy in the camp! Can there be anything better than to lead others to Jesus? Nothing! Have said a prayer for the new Believers and that you will have more opportunities to share your faith. Bring them in...

Congratulations to your son and his new bride! Your family is really growing and that is a good thing!~smile~Seeing the photos of your sister and nieces make the fleece blankets remind me of the time Mom and I made Christmas pillow cases with our daughter and granddaughters, oh so much fun!
