THE PUMPKIN PATCH

I hope everyone is enjoying this Fall weather as much as I am. It is just beautiful!!

Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Saturday Jeff & I took Lindsey and Jeffie and traveled down to San Diego to go to the Pumpkin Patch with Jimmy and Larissa and their kids. We had such a fun time. I LOVE that place they have down there. It was packed, but it didn't really seem to matter. The thing I loved the most was how happy the kids all were to be together. They were soo darling on the day. Be sure and notice the pic where they are holding hands. They did that on their own. It was adorable. Jimmy & Larissa brought along some candy and would periodically hide it for the kids to find telling them that the "Great Pumpkin" (from Charlie Brown) had left it for them. JD was especially enthralled with this. He was so excited and darling on it. Remember to click on the full screen thing in the upper right hand corner, and hit your escape key when you want to exit...OH, and be sure a click off my blog page music on the little bear to the left... ENJOY!!

  1. Debbie, I just read your comment you left on my post this morning and tears welled up just reading it. Yes and Yes and Yes to everything you said!! I am holding onto each and every moment with my daughter and dreading what you have already crossed ... the day she leaves home. I say dread loosely, just like my sons who have left - it brings a sadness and a missing spot in my heart because I miss them so but yet at the same time a joy because they are doing exactly what God intended them to do and I know it will be the same for my Anna. I just pray that the words I speak, the wisdom I share, the example I am leading will be enough for what she needs.

How heartbreaking it was for me to read how far away your daughter is...but you are right a new season brings new lessons, new love and new beginnings. God is with us thru all the seasons of life ... I'm grateful for that!

Thank you for sharing with me each day. Its refreshing to know I am not alone in this seasonal change of my life! -blessings and love, Laurie

  6. Debbie, those kids are just too cute! My favorite picture is grandma and grandpa in the pumpkin patch, looking like scarescrows...cute ones, though! I can see why they were so exhausted on the way home...what a fun day. The children holding hands is adorable...what a beautiful family you have, Debbie...you are so blessed!
