SIMPLE WOMAN'S DAYBOOK

Thanks for hosting the simple woman's daybook Peggy. To read other lovely ladies who have posted a daybook, click here

Outside my window... A truly gorgeous cool Fall morning. A slight breeze fluttering the leaves on the trees.

I am thinking... I want to make some things for Christmas and it's time to be get busy

I am thankful for... my husband, who spent so much of his day yesterday doing things to make my week easier

I am wearing... white capri pants and a light weight multi colored (in browns) top

I am remembering... this time of year when my kids were little

I am going... to go to the apple orchard this week-end with my husband

I am reading...Take Two by Karen Kingsbury...I LOVE her books

I am hoping... to get in more exercise this week

On my mind... I am praying about getting involved in a ministry at church

From the learning rooms... that God can use me rather I am "worthy" or not

Noticing that... there are truly wonderful people EVERYWHERE

Pondering these words... Every good and perfect gift is from above...James 1:17

From the kitchen... I've put a pot roast on for Jeff and John just so I can smell the wonderous smell of it all day

Around the house... I am going to get the new pictures of my grandkids in frames

One of my favorite things~ the smell of my Autumn candles

From my picture journal

  4. I liked your "God can use me whether I am worthy or not." Truth is, none of us are worthy by our own merit. We all rely upon Him.

Thanks for your visit to Family Fountain and nice comment on "Woe is Me." Just from looking at your blog and pics of your family together, you have a tremendous amount to offer. Your family looks happy together. Many people would give EVERYTHING they have have for that! Hope you'll visit again.

  5. Good Evening Dear Friend,
I am just getting around to visiting, as i have been so busy making ready for our trip to visit our daughter and family. Whew! am I tired, but a good tired.

Now let me wish you a very belated Happy Birthday, I read your TT post and I think you had an awesome Birthday, what a beautiful and wonderful family you have. And it seems like we both have been so blessed by God with wonderful husbands. So enjoyed reading that post. Debbie, God has gifted you with being able to put your thoughts on paper, I so enjoy reading your posts.

I also enjoyed reading The Simple Woman's Daybook. I love reading what other ladies are doing while starting their days, it is amazing the similarities we have. Good luck when you go to the apple orchard this week, we have one but would, you believe not one apple this year!

I am so glad that you are exercising, I haven't done that well, lately. But am hoping to become more faithful when we get back. I am continuing to pray for you.

I must say the self discipline you displayed when you ate out for your birthday really impressed me. Usually at celebrations people have a tendency to let go. So for that I am so proud of you, and now I will think twice before I let go when we have family celebrations. LOL

I like the idea of sharing a dinner plate, it only makes sense because they serve such large portions. and I was taught to clean my plate as a child and continue to do it now. LOL

Getting back to your SWD I will help you pray about you working in a ministry at church.

My!!! this comment is getting long, but I so enjoy making new friends, especially those that I have so much in common with.

Thank you for visiting me and for always encouraging me. Please pray for a safe trip for us as we will be visiting family, and that I will be very disciplined in my eating. I am so sold on that idea of sharing a plate. But I must admit it is going to be hard, as San Antonio has some of the best restaurants you could ever eat at!

Have a blessed week, and hopefully I can visit while I am away
    Blessings,
    Sue

  6. Hi Debbie, it's me again, I am up late tonight as we will be leaving in a couple of hours, so I chose to stay up and try to catch up on my blogging. But am now wishing I had gone to bed earlier as my eyes are getting so heavy. LOL Since i don't like to fly, maybe I can sleep on the plane. lol

Our one and only daughter, who was my daughter first, and then my best friend lives over two thousand miles away, ouch!!! it hurt when she left about fifteen years ago, and it still hurts today. It is so hard to maintain a close relationship with that many miles apart. She used to come home every three months and that made the heartache a little better, but now that the girls are in school, we feel so blessed if she comes home once a year.

They are youth pastors, and my dh and I had to leave them in God's hands. and let me tell you that was the hardest thing for us to do. I would love to tell you that after leaving them in His hands that I went on my merry way. Not true! I can't tell you the conversations I have had with God over this! But He always wins! Because deep down I know His will is perfect, and I know that we we will have an eternity to catch up and then it won't matter, because we will both be in His Presence.
Again I apologize for a long comment.Thank you for coming by and leaving me such sweet words of encouragement. I am so looking forward to getting to know you. I found this scripture in Exodus22:27 the other day, and it just jumped out at me. God told Moses that He, "God", was Gracious. I said "Yes You are." He has been so gracious to me by giving me sisters in Christ to fellowship with.
    Blessings,
    Sue

  7. Thank you for the comments on my blog this morning. I had read your post yesterday, but didn't have time to come and leave a comment.

Just want you to know that it's so hard sometimes to share with people we know we're going to come into contact with them again and again. I'll be praying for you. Just share with love and if it's not accepted, keep sharing every week with the way you live your life. We spoke more with our actions than our words sometimes!!
