This last year has seen many changes in my life. It was a hard year in some ways as I had to adjust to my youngest (and only) daughter marrying and moving 1000 miles away from me. I am grateful that the Lord was faithful and I have learned that while it is difficult (not gonna lie) I am able to bear it, and at times I didn't think I could. I'm grateful that she was able to visit many times this year. I am grateful that she is finishing up grad school in Dec. and is FINALLY done with school!! YAY..I guess that is until she has to get her Master's. But she has 6 years for that...
I am also soo grateful for the birth of two new grand babies this year. They were both born in Feb. (one of them on Valentines Day) and that they have both been healthy and such happy babies.
This is little Cody Class born on Feb. 3, 2009
And this adorable little cutie is Donatella Valentina Class born on Valentines Day 2009
I am also sooo grateful for all the rest of my little grandkids who are growing into such sweet little people. How I enjoy them I can't begin to express. Here is a few pics of them too.
This is Capri who will be 5 next month...and this pic is all about who she is right now. She lives in a make believe world where princesses and fairys really do exist. She is Fancy Nancy here which is her latest love.
And JD. my adorable little 3 year old grandson. Who could resist that face??
And the 5 year old KG boy Jeffie. His smile lights up the room
And 8 year old Lindsey, aka Raggedy Ann, haha
The "so cool" 14 year old Evan
And my adorable 12 year old Annabel
Sorry, I never can resist posting pics of my grandkids.
I am also grateful for my husbands new job this last year which is going very well. I guess as I am sitting here thinking and trying to zero in on what in particular I am grateful for through this last year, I am struck again about how easy it would be to go and on and on. There is just a blessing everywhere if you look for it. I am soo grateful to be living in a country where we enjoy the freedoms and blessings that we do. And as always I am grateful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ without Whom nothing at all really matters and from Whom all blessings flow.
Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
And I would be greatly amiss if I didn't mention all of you. I cannot begin to express the joy I have found meeting soo many wonderful new people through the world of blogging this year. I took it up in early Feb. and have enjoyed every single minute of it. From all walks of life and all over the United States there are women who share my great love of the Lord, sewing and decorating, grandkids, and family. I believe in my heart that the Lord lead me to each and every one of you. And speaking of wonderful new friends, last night I recieved in the mail a WONDERFUL surprise package just FULL of goodies from my new friend Sue over at Where Memories Are Made. She is a such a blessing to me. I discovered her blog through another friend and from the moment I first visited I have been drawn to her warmth, grace, and great love of the Lord. She is such a sweet woman. Visit her blog sometime and you will be not only so glad you did, but be soo very blessed as well. I was soo excited when I had heard I had won her give away (I seldom win anything, haha). Last night my husband came in carrying a box and said, "Deb, your gift from Sue is here". He knew I'd been watching for it.
This wonderful note from her was on the top...and inside were MANY treasures, which included (hope I don't forget anything, there was soo much!) some beautiful fall folliage, some "stress reliever" lotion (which I am dying to try), some warm footies, (already wore those last night) some home made Blueberry Jam (saving that for Thanksgiving Day), a GORGEOUS musical Christmas Ornament that plays Away in the Manager, (I love this!) a book of prayers (already opened and started reading last night) a crocheted dish cloth (I love these my mom also makes them) some Christmas socks (soo darling) AND!! a homemade Thanksgiving apron her precious mother made!! I just love it. It has hand stiching on it as well for an extra special touch. If you read my post above you will see just how many aprons I have made this year, let alone over the course of my life, but NO ONE has ever made one just for me!! I can't tell you how I appreciate it.
THANK YOU SUE from the bottom of my heart. You will just never know how much this blessed me. Here are a few more pics of my gifts....

I know you miss your daughter living so far away. You too are obviously very close but I'm glad she is able to visit at times. It sounds like you raised her well. If she's near San Antonio, please let me know. I have a very dear and close friend who lives in Boerne, TX.
