Today is Then Sings My Soul Saturday, and I have been searching for a while now to find just the right song that fits for this day and for my Spiritual Sunday post I intend to post tomorrow.  I finally settled on this song after much thought, as first of all I have ALWAYS loved it and it is just where my heart has been the last couple of days since I was able to witness the birth of my nieces baby.  My post for tomorrow is all about that. but for today my soul sings for this wonderful new life and the world our God has blessed us with.  I think sometimes today with all the choas the world is in it is easy to forget the simple pleasures of this world that our God has given us.  Fields of green, red roses too, I see them bloom for me and for you, and I think to myself, it's a wonderful world....ENJOY...and to sing with other's click HERE...Have a WONDERFUL day!!

  1. Debbie, what a beautiful baby, and the music you selected is so precious to listen to while viewing tha beautiful new life! She is a miracle, and she is gorgeous...I think she looks like you! Really, I do! I'll bet your niece looks like you, too. This is a wonderful post, Debbie...I'm so glad you chose this for today...can't wait til tomorrow!

    God bless, my friend!

  2. What a precious gift of a new baby. Congratulations Aunt Debbie! Simply beautiful.

And as I listened to this song, I remembered a video I had put together back in 2000 for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. I'll have to find it and convert it to DVD and post it. I used this song to accompany the photo memories. My mom died in 2005 and I so miss her. I can't wait to see her again in heaven.

    Blessings and love,

  3. Such a beautiful Baby! A wonderful song , I love this song.Congratulations to your niece .

  4. I love that song, it brings back so many memories. And this new baby... so beautiful! you are blessed!

  5. Awwww, Welcome new precious baby!!!

  6. Blessings Debbie...yes, what a wonderful world! Precious new life!
This was so great because when my niece had her first baby this summer, I also posted L. Armstrong singing this song! Must be because we're the same age...but no one sings this like Satchmo! Your words are so true, amidst the chaos, too often we do overlook the simple treasures in our daily lives.
    Congratulation aunt Debbie! En JOY!

  7. What a beautiful baby!! Can't wait to hear the story! Enjoy your Sunday!

  8. What a sweet baby! I'm happy to have found your blog.

  9. Oh Debbie, What joy for your niece and for the entire family. I too, love this song and it fits so well.
I'm awaiting the birth of our little granddaughter and it was fun to see the photo of the little one. I've never been present at a birth so am glad you were able to be.
    Hugs, Noreen
