IT'S FRIDAY ALREADY!!

Can it possibly be Friday morning already?  One short week ago we were waking up in New Mexico.  How time does SQUEAL by.  We have FINALLY gotten a break in our weather.  It cooled off so much last night I actually felt myself reach for a light blanket for the first time in weeks and weeks.  YAY! Fall may finally be here.

It has been somewhat of a slow week over here.  Tuesday mom and I traveled EARLY back out to Huntington Beach to finish up her dental work that we had started before my step dad passed away.  Mom has just not been up to  it until now.  She has one more appointment to put her new crowns on and we are all done with that for awhile I hope.  After her dental appointment (which took two and half hours!) we had a quick lunch and she got her nails done at her favorite old place.  I sat in the car while she did and talked on my cell phone.  LOTS of waiting for me that day...BUT!  I caught up on my devotionals and some reading, so it was all good.  Wed. and Thurs were spent just hanging out at home.  Caught up all of our laundry, and helped mom learn how to use her lap top.  Well, kind of anyway, haha.  I am not sure how much she will remember from day to day but she soo wants to be able to work it somehow.  She is officially on Facebook which I am hoping will be simple enough she can work it on her own eventually.....we'll see.  Today we need to do some grocery shopping, and a few other quick little errands before I drop mom off for the week-end at my sisters.  I am sooo looking forward to just "nothing" this week-end, haha.  Actually I am really looking forward to seeing my San Diego set of grandkids too.  Seems like a LONG time since I have seen them rather than just a couple of weeks.

Well as you can see I really don't have much to share today.  ; )  So I decided to share really quick some of the thoughts the Lord has impressed on me these last couple of days.  Our God is a God of abundance.  His capacity to bless us is unlimited!  It is impossible really for us to comprehend the vastness of His riches.  We just get little glimpses into this as we spend time with Him.  And these little glimpses are just little tastes into how it will be in eternity with Him.  In the meantime, we have access to as much of Him as we have faith to receive.  Just doesn't get any better does it?

Philippians 4:19  And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:20  Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Just can't seem to stop myself from sharing cute pics of Sam, haha, so please forgive me....these are just too good to pass up.  Have a wonderful, joy filled week-end.   Blessings to you all!
Sam LOVES LOVES LOVES visiting the cows.  Melody takes them to see them in his new wagon!

Is this the sweetest thing ever?
Walking down their driveway to go see the cows and daddy......a boy and his dog.....I LOVE this one!

  1. I love the boy and his dog one, too! That one needs to be framed! Good for you for teaching your mom to use the laptop and even Facebook. I wonder how many great-grandmas are on Facebook?

I think your mom is awesome learning her laptop and Facebook and you're so good to encourage her and teach her these things.

    Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

  9. I love the boy with his dog ... too precious!

Good luck with your mom and her laptop. If my 89-year-old dad can learn to use the iPhone (ok, for phone calls and for emails only), then I'm sure that your mom can learn to use Facebook! ;-)

    Have a fantastic weekend!
