JESUS IS KING!

This is one of those mornings where I wish I had more time to get my thoughts down.  But it just isn't the case, so I am afraid it won't be what I want it to be, but I will do my best.

The election is over and the Presidency has been decided and I am sure there is both rejoicing for some and disappointment, even fear for others, all over America today.  But I truly believe that irregardless of where we might fall in that spectrum, the time for working together has come.  I don't believe that any man, or woman for that matter, is placed into a powerful position that God has not allowed.  He is still King of Kings, and is still firmly on His throne.

Mat 28:18   And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

It's time for Christians everywhere to pray like they have never prayed before.

1 Tim. 2:1-4  Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

I believe that if we as a nation turn our hearts and minds back to God He can and will heal our country from all it's problems, irregardless of who is in control.

2 Ch 7:14  "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

So I think it is very clear what our job is now.  Pray like never before, respect our President and press forward with our jobs as Christians, and always remember....

Psalm 146:3-6  "Don't put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.  When they breathe their last, they return to the earth and all of their plans die with them.  But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.  He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them.  He keeps every promise forever."

We prayed before the election ... and now we need to keep on praying.

  6. Yes, hearts of mankind must be changed and turned to God. Then, and only then, will we see change. No politician can turn this country around, only revival.

  7. Indeed, we must pray fervently and not lose hope! But, we likely have some very tough times ahead of us. Blessings!

  8. As I watched results and then woke the next morning to fall on my knees, what I was struck with more than anything was a sadness for the souls of the American people. Statistically speaking, it looks as if we haven't advanced the Kingdom of God in the hearts and minds of the American people in four years one iota. That's what the votes reflect, and an honest appraisal of the nation and the church seems to confirm it.

I am convicted to be a better evangelist than I have been. I am convicted to remember right down to my bones that the only way to bring about real change is to bring Jesus as not just savior but LORD into the hearts of a lost people.

So I pray and I fight, not for the nation of the America but for the Kingdom of God.
