FRIDAY'S HAPPENINGS

Well I have spent most of the week doing embroidery work on the machine.  It makes me feel like I haven't sewn in a LONG time, haha.  It is very different!  I have only 1 shirt left to do and I am all done with embroidery for a few days I think.  I made a couple of tee shirts for Sam, and several onesies for the babies.  It is actually kind of addicting for me, lol.  As a young girl, and really to this very day, I have always loved to color.  Deciding what color to chose and how to do a picture just is something I have always enjoyed for whatever reason, and embroidery seems to be very similar to me.  I sit planning out color scheme's in my head, and then go about doing it.  I have acquired most of the basic color of threads, and they go a LONG LONG way, so that is good.  I am hoping to add to my collection every now and then as well though.  It is all very relaxing and therapeutic....lol.  Here is a collage of some of my latest designs on either a onesie or a shirt.

Some of these I purchased the design online and downloaded it to my machine, and some I combined with other designs or added on the words.  The possibilities are pretty endless.  I have FINALLY got the process down pretty good, though I decided to play around with the stabilizer a little bit, and ended up ruining a couple of the onesies....good thing they only cost me a couple of bucks.  I don't know how else to learn what I like and don't like then to make poor choices or mistakes, but I think again I have this down.  It's pretty hard to pick a favorite, and just so you know they are MUCH cuter in person, haha.  I think I am going with the sleeping cow on the moon that says Good night, moon....soo darling.  What's your favorite?

I am going to make up a few long sleeved shirts with collars and cuffs for Melody's boys next, and a couple of pair of little knit pants for the babies which should go with ALL of their new onesies, and a no sew blanket for Sam.  That is probably all I will get done before we leave so my goal of doing everything is NOT going to happen.  But there is really not much left for after I get back.  PJ bottoms for the teenagers, and embroidering some Christmas designs on some kitchen towels.   Hubby and I are hoping to finish up the inside decking of our halls tomorrow, and I have several appointments for next week as well, so I will just have to sew when the time presents itself.  We are filling up our schedule for December and it is amazing how quick and easy that was to do.

I will leave you now with a few of the latest cute pics of some of the grands!  Enjoy your week-ends, and God's blessings to you all!

  2. I loved every one of those onesies. I think my favorite is the farming buddy one, but it was hard to choose.

I know you have tons on your plate with so many (GORGEOUS) grandchildren to sew for, but I still think you could open your own etsy with your creations because they are so cute.

  6. I always love to see your grands' photos. They are darling. My favorite t-shirt is the blue one that says "you are my sunshine". My mother used to sing that to me all the time when I was a little girl. :)

Thank you for your kind comments on Heart Choices Debbie. I truly appreciate them.

    Love and hugs,
    Debbie
