WEEK-END WRAP UP AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY VINCENT JAMES!

Well another productive, busy, GOOD week-end is behind us.  As I mentioned in my last post, I had decided it was time to change a few things and come up with some more workable sewing space in my "sewing area".  Which is what we spent ALL DAY Saturday doing....ALL DAY!  lol.  But I still have a few details to finish up this morning, so I will wait to tell you about all of that until I am done.  Let me just say this for now....I AM THRILLED!

Sunday we headed down to San Diego to church for the first time in 3 weeks.  I felt like I was flying along side the car I was so anxious to get back, lol.  We had listened to both our old pastor on-line (live) and all 3 of my son's messages via recordings, but it is just NOT the same as sitting in the chair joining others in worship and visiting afterwards with other members.  It was just as good as I had been longing for, and it felt wonderful being back.  After service my son had some board business to take care of, so we headed back to their house with the rest of his family and had a nice lunch.  Then hubby and I left to run a couple of quick errands before going over to my DIL's parents house for Vinny's first birthday party.  Honestly can't believe this sweet little guy is already a year old!  Wherever that year went, I honestly don't know.  He was soo cute and sweet on the day.  Everyone enjoyed a dip in their pool (in spite of the strange for California weather...hot, super humid and sprinkling!) while snacking on some watermelon strawberries, grapes and chips.  Vinny LOVES balls.  Of any shape and size.  He says ball plain as day, and so his day was centered around balls.  They blew up a small wading pool and filled it with little plastic balls, and put him in it.  He was in heaven, haha.  His sweet tooth is kind of like grandma's, and he enjoyed his cupcake to everyone's delight. He received nice gifts (most of them ball related in one way or another, lol) and kept everyone wonderfully entertained.  After the party we went to dinner with my sister Diane and her husband and granddaughter Priscilla, and my son James and his wife.  Larissa's sister babysit their kids which gave them a rare "kid free" dinner and evening.  We didn't get home until after 9, and we were both pretty tired, but what a great day!  Here are some pictures (you knew they were coming, lol)

LOVE THIS!

LOOK AT HIS DELIGHTED FACE!
I AM SHOWING HIS LITTLE SD CHARGER JERSEY HE GOT...SOO CUTE!

A couple of quick videos give you a little glimpse into his excitement and joy on the day.  ENJOY!
