FRIDAY FRAMENTS

Half-Past Kissin' Time

I know I am a little behind, (check out my previous post!) but I decided to try and jump onto the Friday fragments posts party this week.  I always enjoy reading the other fragments, and goodness knows my head is always full of random....so let's see.

I broke ANOTHER tooth.  Not sure what's up with that, but it's the second one I've broken in the last couple of months.  I have 3 "baby" teeth in my mouth.  There were NO adult molars to replace them so they have just remained in my mouth for 60 years.  Well, 59 anyway as they were all 3 my 1 year molars, lol. An inherited family gene I could just as well skipped that's for sure.  They all 3 have never even had a cavity!  My dentist said I should be in some world book of records or something over this. Well anyway, one of them finally broke.  He pulled out the offending piece (it was just kind of hanging there!) and thinks it can fix it with a simple filling.  So I don't need another crown, thank goodness!

I have found myself getting a little involved in a new business my niece Jessica is starting up with her friend selling baby clothes and accessories.  They designed the designs they put on t-shirts themselves and then had them printed up in various sizes.  I made the bandanna bibs to go with them and also the darling little head turbans and bows.  At one point they were going with infinity scarves, but they have scrapped that idea for now.  The eventual goal is to teach these gals how to sew so they can make these things for themselves, but for now we are simply swapping out for Jessica doing my hair which is a "win win" situation for us both.  Jessie has been doing my hair for almost 8 years now, and is a super talented hairdresser in Newport Beach.  Meanwhile, I have been thoroughly enjoying myself looking for fabric and coming up with new ideas for hair bows and bibs.  Their official launch date for this business is tomorrow.  I am soo excited for them! and wishing then all the success in the world in their new venture.  Let me show you some of their things....sooo cute!

HUNTWEST CLOTHING IS THE NAME OF THE LINE AND IS INSPIRED BY THESE GALS SWEET BABIES WESTON AND HUNTER,  YOU CAN FOLLOW THEM ON INSTAGRAM  (my niece and darling little nephew are on the left!)

THE CLOTHES WILL RANGE FROM 3 MONTHS TO 6

HERE'S ONE OF MY BIBS FEATURED.  THEY APPEAR TO TIE IN THE BACK BUT ARE SIMPLY THREADED THROUGH A BUTTON HOLE.   I FOUND THE DESIGN AND PATTERN ON PINTEREST, AND IT IS SUPER EASY
JUST SOME MORE IDEAS I'VE BEEN PLAYING AROUND WITH USING THEIR COLORS AND THEME
In between playing with these designs I am VERY busy trying to get all of my pillowcases and PJ's for my 11 grandkids finished.  My original goal was Halloween, but that didn't happen so I am hoping to be done by next Friday.  That will leave me 3 whole weeks to make my tree skirt (and maybe another runner), play with these designs some more (wink), and decide who else I might gift with a homemade item this Christmas. Oh, and I really want to make hubby a new shirt for our upcoming family photo session too.  I really want to take the whole month of December off from sewing, but we will see! I did manage to get little Vinny's PJ's done yesterday in spite of running to the dentist and Joannes. Cody's are all done but the applique I am going to put on his.  Let me show you Vinny's.

NO DOUBT A LITTLE BIG FOR 15 MONTH OLD VINNY, BUT THESE SHRINK UP QUITE A BIT SO THAT IS ALWAYS GOOD!

JUST A LITTLE CLOSER LOOK AT THE FABRIC.  HIS BIG BROTHER JD WILL HAVE A MATCHING PAIR.  AND THIS SAME FABRIC (JUST MADE A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY) WAS USED FOR SAM, LUKE, AND CODY TOO.

LUKE AND SAM'S WITH THE APPLIQUE ON THE FRONT.
JUST HAD TO SHOW YOU A PIC OF LUKE AND SAM SPORTING THEIR NEW SNOWMAN JAMIES.  THEY DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE THEM OFF SO THEY ARE PLAYING IN THEIR BACK YARD IN THEM, LOL

Well, guess that's all the "random I had time for right now.  Hope I followed all the rules the right way.  I enjoyed it.  You can check out the others at Half-Past Kissin Time.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM SAM AND LUKE!  (not sure why Sam is sporting  Rudolf antlers too, lol, other then he is frequently pretending to be Rudolf)
Hope you all enjoy your week-ends, and your little trick or treaters. We don't get them anymore, and I sure miss them.  Many blessings to you all!  Debbie

  4. First of all, thanks for stopping by my Friday Fragments post :)

The pajamas you made are adorable! What a talented seamstress you are. I used to sew, but it's been years since I've made anything.

Sorry you broke another tooth. That happened to me a while back. I broke one, then a short while later, another broke.

I wish the girls luck with their new clothing line. It's cute.

  5. I'm thinking they will likely be successful in their venture and love those cute bibs you are making for them.

And, the PJ's are too cute and think I may have to buy, since I don't sew, my Grans some.

    Happy weekend!

  6. Good morning dear friend, what a joy to read this, wishing you, your niece and her friend much success in the new business, I know it is going to be so successful!
Debbie, you could have a great business selling children pj's! you are so gifted.
I am so amazed at how Sam and Luke have grown.

Let's talk about that tooth, I find this so awesome that you still have the baby teeth, and that they have stayed this long! I am so glad that the dentist is going to be able to fill instead of a crown! I had to have a crown this summer, was quite expensive as I have to be sedated, I am such a baby when it comes to dentists. ~smile~
Thank you for your concern and for your prayers for my mother, she continues to heal from the lumpectomy and is waiting to find out the course for her treatment, please continue to pray, blogging has been a little slow as we are at the drs. offices quite often. Enjoyed my visit today, you always inspire me.
    Blessings, Sue
