WEEK'S WRAP UP....

This will be just a quick wrap up of the week as I have about a million things on my "to do" list today.  I am feeling pretty good because I got all but one sleeper made for Mel's boys, and I am not even 100 percent certain I am even going to make it...will see.  I have pushed myself a little bit this week (even for me, lol) and I am tired.  I am super pleased with the second pair of jammies I made for them.  I am not certain why it seemed to take me so long to get these two pairs done, even if they do have collars and button down the front, but they just did.  I did embroider on them too.  Little snowmen on the left front sides.  Soo cute.  Let me show them to you...

HERE THEY ARE....A COUPLE OF YOU WONDERED WHAT PATTERNS I USE FOR THESE PJ'S SO I LOOKED THEM UP AND THIS PARTICULAR PAIR ARE A COMBINATION OF TWO.  THE BOTTOMS ARE FROM SIMPLICITY #1572, AND THE TOPS ARE FROM SIMPLICITY PATTERN #1574.  I LIKE THE LITTLE CUFFS FOR THE LITTLER ONES AS THE JAMMIES ARE ON THE BIG SIDE AND THIS KEEPS THEM FROM DRAGGING ON THE FLOOR, AND THE TOPS I KIND OF TWEAK AROUND CUTTING COMBINATIONS OF SIZES TO GET THEM TO BE THE SIZE I WANT.  I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE REST OF YOU BUT IT SEEMS TO ME AS IF ALL PATTERNS HAVE THE BOTTOMS BIG, AND THE TOPS LITTLE (OR AT LEAST SHORT, LOL)

THESE ARE LUKE'S.  I USE A SOFT CUDDLY FLANNEL AND PRE-SHRINK THE FABRIC AS OTHERWISE IT DOES SHRINK QUITE A BIT.  THE OTHER ONES I MADE THEM WITH THE REINDEER ON THE FRONT ARE FROM SIMPLICITY PATTERN #1572.  I JUST PLAYED AROUND WITH IT SOME SO THAT THE ARMS WERE THE SAME AS THE BOTTOM AND MADE THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE TOP IN A PLAIN FLANNEL SO I COULD APPLIQUE ON THEM

HERE ARE SAMS...I LOVE EMBROIDERING ON FLANNEL.  IT'S JUST THE RIGHT WEIGHT IT SEEMS AND COMES OUT WELL AND IS EASY TO WORK WITH
I made a festive Christmas sheet for Luke as he doesn't use a pillow yet in his crib, but I didn't want him left out of the fun.  I found the cutest Mickey Mouse Christmas fabric as it is one of his favorites. However since it's one of Sam's too I made him ANOTHER (I know....I am wild!) pillow case out of Mickey Fabric.  Let me show you...

EMBROIDERED THE FUN HO HO HO...LUKE'S SHEET IS JUST LIKE THE FABRIC HERE OF COURSE.
Soo I think that's all I got done this week, sewing wise anyway, lol.  I did get my nails done yesterday, and some errands run.  Today is laundry, packing,  getting my hair done, and getting the car washed. Whew...I am tired before I begin.  But tomorrow morning we will be heading down to Temecula and a week-end with those babies and I am looking forward to it all.  Poor Luke was not feeling well yesterday and Melody is a little concerned.  I am praying they ALL stay well during the visit.  They are taking a private jet out so they do not have to be concerned about other sick travelers, though that was planned by her FIL BEFORE all the recent health scares.  Personally, I am glad that it is the plan.

On the way back on Monday we will be stopping by the quilt store (it's kind of on our way!) and I am picking up all 3 of my Christmas quilts.  I am soooo excited to see how they came out.  Hope you all have a GOOD week-end.  Blessings and joy to you all....Debbie

Oh, I just had to show you a little sneak peak of wedding attire, lol.  Melody wanted little Luke to be dressed up too.  She and Mike and Sam are all IN the wedding so of course they will be all dressed up.  She found this little tux for Luke very inexpensively online, and ordered it for him.  He is soo cute in it I can hardly stand it, though Grandma is going to have to turn the hem of the coat cuffs up as they are a little too long.  Other then that it is a good fit.

needs some ironing too of course, but BE STILL MY HEART!  LOOK AT THOSE SWEET LITTLE LIPS...GRANDMA CAN HARDLY STAND IT!
