And then late Friday afternoon I got a call from the sewing machine repair guy who started the conversation by saying, "I have good and bad news!" NEVER good to hear that let's face it, lol. The bad news is that the circuit board is on back order and could take six to eight weeks to get it! And the good news is after further inspection he really didn't think it was what was wrong with my machine anyway. He "thought" it was because the week before he had another 580 in there doing a very similar thing and that's what was wrong with it. But he honestly felt after a thorough and total cleaning, oiling, and replacing a couple of little somethings [can't remember now what he called them] and a total adjusting of the hoop module, it would be as good as new. All of this is included in my regular servicing of the machine. I had put on over a million stitches [is that even possible?] in the last 7 months, so he was pretty sure it was the problem. Sooo we picked it up Sat morning, and I will test it out today. He left the circuit board on order just in case, but of course I am soo hoping that it is not the case. The circuit board btw has nothing to do with the sewing part of my machine. I have really never had an issue with the sewing part. Every little kink [and if I am being honest MOST of the "kinks" were operator errors!] have been with the embroidery side of the machine, not the other. So I can continue to sew no problem with this machine, but not embroider should that be the case. Which I guess in the scheme of things is not the end of the world, but annoying nonetheless. After a few more errands on Sat. hubby and I saw a movie and then spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning our leather couches. SUCH a chore let me tell you, but SOO worth it when it's done. These couches are nearing 15 years old! Again, is that possible? We bought them at the time spending a little more money then we were comfortable with in the hopes that they would last....and let me tell you we sure have gotten every little penny out of them we counted on. They are first and foremost the most comfy thing to sit and/or nap on you can ever imagine. And while not as good as new anymore, they are still looking pretty good. Especially after their cleaning. However, they too have found their way on to the replace soon list....sigh....nothing lasts forever. Yesterday was church, lunch with my oldest son's family afterwards, and a little shopping at Joannes for me after that. All in the most horrid of weather, lol.. HOT and humid! A terrible combination. Made me glad that humid is not something we usually put up with here in So California.,...good thing too as I don't do it well as it tends to make my grumpy, lol.
I have quite a bit of sewing to finish up before Melody and her family arrive on the ninth, so I'd best get busy. Hope you all have a good week! Blessings to you all! Debbie A few more pics for my book following of course.
