SIMPLE POST

I have no idea where this post might go as I don't have much of anything new to gab about.  Our week-end was a relaxing one which was very nice considering the week-end before was spent thoroughly cleaning.   And speaking of cleaning.  You know how I told you how our cleaning woman quit as her hubby wanted her to find something that paid better? Well I guess it didn't take either one of them very long to figure out that like I said she is already making pretty good money.  I would have understood it better if she just wanted something "different" to do, or more challenging, or looking for a future where she could be promoted or move up or if she was just plain sick of it.  But more money?  lol.  Anyway, she has decided she is going to merge with another woman so they can double the amount of homes they are able to do, and start again.  And since I hadn't replaced her yet, she is will start back up in a week or so.  She is going to charge me the same amount and hopefully get it done in half the amount of time.  I didn't want to ask her how this makes her more money as she now has to split it with someone else.  Even if they do get to two houses she is still at the same amount.  I told her I have no objections as long as the new woman's cleaning is at the same level as hers.  She assured me it was so guess we will see.  We only have her once a month and hubby and I fill in the rest of it, and it had been working pretty well.  Don't really WANT to give up two of our Saturday's a month cleaning house, so I am hoping it goes well.

The girls have decided that they want to continue the weekly Bible study though we are going to have to move it to Tues evenings.  Evenings are never ideal for me as truthfully I am usually kind of tired and ready to hit my couch by then, and my day times are SOO open to fill up, but I am VERY excited that they want to continue, and happy to do it.  We are going to start the next six week study in the series we have chosen, and we are all eager to get going.  We went to church yesterday with my youngest sister and her little family as they were having a special music guest at their church and invited us to go.  We did enjoy the service and worship music, and went to breakfast with them afterwards.  We had decided not to travel down to San Diego for service, and then the funeral service at 4, as hubby will be no doubt making a few trips down to San Diego this week for his new job as that it where their main office is located, and that is A LOT of driving.  Plus, we do want to encourage and support my sister's family as they are all beginning their new walks with the Lord, so felt like we should go to service with them if they invited us.  We have set a date as well for them all to be baptized.  They want my son to do it and he is able to come up here in a couple of weeks and do it at our pool as it is heated.  I honestly can't tell you how much it warms my heart to see them all soo excited about the Lord, and eager to get involved and learn as much as they can.  It has all been such a blessing, and how grateful I am to be a part of it all.  God is good all the time!

I did get to Joannes on Friday but was VERY disappointed in their selection of flannel.  I bought a piece of the soft cozy fabric which I will pair up with some flannel, and some star wars fabric for a pillow case for little Cody.  But that was it.  I am STILL searching for fabric and pattern choices for the two quilts I want to begin.  Hopefully this week I will settle on those and get going as time is ticking.

Guess that's it for now.  Hope you all have a good week,  I will leave you with a couple of cute grandkid pics.  Blessings to you all!  Debbie

CLAIRE IS CRAWLING NOW AND GOT HERSELF UP ON BIG BROTHER SAM WHILE HE WAS WATCHING HIS BELOVED PAW PATROL.  SHE WAS SOO HAPPY WITH HERSELF.  AND SAM WAS HAPPY TO OBLIGE.  I JUST THOUGHT THIS WAS SOO CUTE!

AND MELODY WAS PUTTING LITTLE CLAIRE DOWN FOR HER MORNING NAP AND WHEN SHE CAME BACK INTO THE FAMILY ROOM LUKE HAD HER BIBLE AND HER PEN DRAWING IN HER BIBLE!  EEK!  BUT WHEN MELODY SAID, "LUKE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"  HE SAID TO HER SOO INNOCENTLY SHE COULDN'T STAND IT, "I WRITE IN MAMA'S BIBLE LIKE SHE DOES"    WE DECIDED MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAT HE SEES HIS MAMA WITH THE WORD OPEN EVERY DAY AND BUSY AND WANTS TO COPY HER THEN A NICE NEAT BIBLE.

  1. Oh those pics are both precious. Glad that your Bible Study will continue and I am praying that you will have increased stamina on Tuesday nights. Ha! I might like increased stamina most nights, but the body would wear out all the faster. Have a good week, Deb.

  3. Hi sweet friend, I don't blame you for not wanting to hold a study at night-I'm usually ready to just sit on the couch. I start up my study(Beth Moore)in two weeks and looking forward to being back in the Word for a study. Mel's kids are so adorable-Claire is a beauty like her mom.
Hope you have a great week.
    Hugs, Noreen

  4. So nice reading your post and catching up. Loving the photos of your precious grandchildren! Our youngest grandson found my bible on the coffee table during their Christmas visit and tore out several pages. I've been using the same bible for 30+ years and don't really want to replace it. I just folded the pages and tucked them back in. Guess I know who's getting my bible someday :)

Congratulations to your husband on his new job! It sounds like a good move for him.

I always love to see your darling grandbabies! What a sweet story about Luke and your daughter's Bible! Who could ever scold him after that?

  7. I love the photos of the grands. Sam is so patient with his sister letting her crawl all over him and I love the photo of Luke, Mama is setting a good example for her littles ones, that marked up bible will be precious to her as she remembers what he said.

  10. I'm not great in the evenings either : ) Once in a while I can gear up for something, but not weekly. I do hope it works out and you receive a dose of supernatural energy on Tuesdays!
