A WEEK-END GUEST AND A BIRTHDAY!

Well we spent our week-end with a little guest, and let me tell you she kept us on our toes!  lol.  I met her family 1/2 way and picked her up on Friday afternoon.  What a good time we had!  Lots of board games, snuggles, special food, [all her choice of course!] a movie date, a trip to Chuckie Cheese, and SOO much precious conversation.  How I love the one on one summer visits!  We took her back on
Sunday afternoon at our afternoon Bible fellowship.  OF COURSE I got some pictures.

SWEET LITTLE DONATELLA

OUR LITTLE WEEK-END PANCAKE MAKER

FUN AT CHUCKIE CHEESE

SHE PICKED OUT A NEW WATCH AT OUR TRIP TO TOYS R US

SHE HELPED HER BELOVED "GRAMPY" TRIM UP AND CLEAN UP THE PORCH POTS SAT MORNING BEFORE IT GOT TOO HOT!  SHE WAS HONESTLY A WONDERFUL LITTLE ASSISTANT!

HARD TO FIND A HAPPIER, MORE FULL OF LIFE LITTLE GIRL THEN THIS ONE!

And then....my youngest, my only daughter turned 30 years old yesterday.  I am not sure honestly how that can be.  NO MORE kids left for me in their twenties.  I was only 31 when I had Melody but for some reason I always felt soo much older, lol.  Probably because I already had a teenager in my house by then!  It was REALLY hard not being with her on her birthday, especially such a milestone one, I am not going to lie, but she will be here on August 5th, so not much longer now.  I am sooo looking forward to seeing her and her sweet little babies.  Her husband is super busy right now so he won't join them till later in the week, but I am so glad he is getting to come even if it is for such a short time.  She is going to be flying ALL BY HERSELF with 3 little ones 4 and under and truthfully I am somewhat afraid of how it might go.  This gal is going to spend some time on her knees praying all goes well that's for sure.  I am hoping to get her "story" up this Friday as she is the only one left in my series on my kids.  I can't leave hers out that's for sure.  OF COURSE I will leave you some pics of my girl.  Hope you are all having a good week!

MELODY JOY

HOW I MISS THIS GAL

LITTLE PARTY YESTERDAY AFTER CHURCH WITH HER HUBBY AND HER BABIES.  SHE AND HER HUBBY ALSO WENT OUT TO DINNER THE NIGHT BEFORE TO CELEBRATE WITH THEIR FRIENDS, AND SHE WENT AND HAD A PEDICURE WITH HER GIRLFRIENDS YESTERDAY AFTERNOON TOO. I WISH SHE HAD BEEN HERE SO I COULD HAVE THROWN HER A BIG TURNING 30 BDAY PARTY LIKE HER BROTHER'S GOT ON THEIRS, BUT I KNOW SHE WAS WELL CELEBRATED

LOVE THIS RECENT PIC OF THEM

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PICS OF HER.  PREGNANT WITH HER FIRST BABY ON HER WAY TO HER BABY SHOWER

REALLY OLD ONE BUT CUTE

AND MISS CLAIRE JUST HAD HER 15 MONTH CHECK UP.  ALL LOOKING GREAT!  CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER!

  1. It is so hard to be away from our kids, no matter their age, on their birthdays especially. And every day : ) Your daughter is lovely-happy birthday to her!

  5. Donatella looks quite a bit like her Auntie! You make the grandparenting thing so special for each of the children. I should imagine that it is the highlight of their summer or definitely one of them.

Happy Birthday to Melody. She is really not getting older; she is getting better! Soon you'll all be together again and what fun will ensue. I'm pretty sure that it might include another cake. Will be praying about that flight home with three little ones. She'll be a toddler wrangler and whisperer all in one!

  6. Mel is such a beauty, just like her mom! I love her blue eyes! You will have your own celebration for her, I'm sure. Donatello is another beauty. How fun to have her one on one. Sending hugs and love,
