WEEK-END WRAP UP

Well we packed a lot into our week-end, but we enjoyed every minute of it....well, maybe not EVERY minute of it, lol, as we spent the first 5 hours of our day on Sat. cleaning house.  But honestly, it is always a good feeling to get that done.  After that and a quick lunch (we got started REALLY early) we left and headed down to San Diego to catch JD's last football game of the season. He is playing on a team of 7 and 8 year olds playing flag.  James is helping coach this team and we have been wanting to get down there since the season started.  JD's passion for the game is unmatched by anyone I know in his age category.  How he LOVES the game!  I think grandpa may finally met his carbon copy when it comes to this sport.  Anyway, it was a GORGEOUS day in San Diego, (most of them are btw....everything you have ever heard about how wonderful the weather is there is true just so you know) and we sat (though grandpa paced up and down the field) and cheered the boys on to their final game victory.  Soo much fun.  After the game we headed over to a pizza parlor to celebrate the end of the season and the victory.  The food was delicious and the conversation and moments were just as you might expect them to be.  We didn't get back home till almost 8:30 so it was a LONG day. but such a good one.

GRANDPA MANAGED TO GET THIS PICTURE AS JD WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CATCHING THE BALL.  (see the ball in mid air there?)

3 GENERATIONS OF CLASS MEN ENJOYING THEIR FAVORITE SPORT

We decided not to drive back down to San Diego for church on Sunday (soo wish it wasn't a little over an hour drive away!) and listened again instead to our old pastor online.  After that we hit Macy's for a little shopping.  I needed to get something to wear for the upcoming wedding.  I managed to find SEVERAL tops I loved, but only bought 3 of them. )and trust me this took discipline, lol, they were soo pretty!) They were having a great sale btw. One of them will be for the upcoming family picture in late Nov.  I am getting soo excited about that.  After that we had a leisurely lunch at our favorite restaurant, and decided to catch a movie.  I had gotten a few movie passes for my birthday (my family knows me well!) and we enjoyed it as always.  After that I stopped by Joannes as their Simplicity patterns were 99 cents (can't let that get by me!) and finished up with some grocery shopping at Trader Joe's.  Let me just tell you my poor knees were SOOO done by the end of this week-end, but it was worth it.

I did give the girls their Frozen fabric nightgowns and pillowcases while we were down in San Diego, and Larissa her curtains as well.  They were all SOO pleased, which is all this gal needs to keep going.  They sent me these photos later of the girls enjoying their new things...soo cute!

AREN'T THEY CUTE?

ALL READY FOR BED...CAPRI LOOKS SOO SWEET IN HER NEW NIGHTGOWN, GRANDMA "MIGHT" BRAVE ANOTHER IN CHRISTMAS FABRIC...

DONATELLA'S LITTLE FACE SAYS IT ALL!

GLIMPSE AT SOME OF THE NEW CURTAINS
I just have to show you some pictures of Melody's little family enjoying their day Sat. at an apple orchard/pumpkin patch spot in Texas.  Can't wait to see them all on Friday.  We will spend this coming week-end in Temecula with them for the wedding of Mike's sister, and I am already melting at the thought of little Sam coming up the aisle as the ring bearer..

GETTING THESE TWO TO SIT STILL AND LOOK AT THE CAMERA AT THE SAME TIME?  WELL, YOU CAN JUST IMAGINE, LOL.  BUT THIS IS PRETTY CUTE!

MY GIRL AND SWEET SAM..LOVED THIS ONE

CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BIG LUKE IS GETTING...HIS HAIR IS CHANGING TO A PRETTY GOLDEN BLONDE TOO.  SOOO SWEET  GRANDMA CAN'T WAIT TO GET HER HANDS ON HIM!

THEIR LITTLE FAMILY...LOOKS LIKE BOTH THE BOYS WEREN'T FEELING THE PHOTO SESSIONS AND WANTED DOWN, LOL.
.So guess that's it for now.  This week will no doubt squeal by as I have soo much to do...hair and nail appointments (how do those come up SOO fast?) LOTS AND LOTS of sewing, bible study and then all the regular chores as well.  Friday will be here before I know it, and I will get my hands on those little boys.  ENJOY your week ladies, and may you find His blessings everywhere!  Debbie

  7. I always enjoy your family photos Debbie! And I understand how hard it is for children to sit still to get their pictures taken. I have my camera with me at school all day as I take photos for the classes and school. I kind of love the class group photos where there's always a few who will not cooperate. I've come to the point of taking many candid photos which are fun and show their personality.

Love the Frozen theme. I know we will have many little Elsa and Anna's this year.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie
